Lost CityEscapology - DestinEscape roomIRLWe played with a group of 6 for my nieces tenth birthday. I’ve done 200+ games but the others were pretty new so we picked a beginner level game. Even without a lot of experience in the group and letting the ten year old do a lot of participating we got out with 16 minutes left. The atmosphere was fun and immersive. The puzzles flowed well and weren’t too hard for beginners. (It’s not a game I would recommend for advanced players though!). Each room was a bit crowded for our group of six (especially the last room). I would recommend 3-4 people (2 people with experience could do it). I wasn’t crazy about their hint system. You push a button and they put a hint on the screen. But twice we had specific questions (a flashlight wasn’t working properly) and we had no way to let them know since we couldn’t talk to the game master. That was frustrating.

Bit we’ve done over 200 rooms and this was one of the worst to be honest. A couple of the puzzles were difficult to complete even when we knew what we were supposed do. After we would get frustrated and ask for a hint we found ourselves asking “How were we ever supposed to put those things together to know what to do?” For us it was not just hard but frustrating. I can’t say we enjoyed this room.
