The Curse Of The Black KnightEscapeX Rooms - IrvineEscape roomIRLThe one thing I don’t see in any reviews: GIRL IF YOU ARE OVER 5’8”, DON’T BUMP YOUR HEAD. CROUCH. Thankfully my spouse and I are 5’6” so we didn’t have any issues. Theres a lot of climbing and crawling involved (which the website DID warn about, so I’m not saying that as a negative) but it is more “can you get up stairs” climbing and not “can you climb a rope” climbing. It is a gorgeous room with oddly varying temperatures in certain parts (absolutely unrelated to any puzzles, just a note for people who struggle with temperature regulation.) Overall, I’d absolutely recommend it. If you are, at a minimum, under 6’.
The Magic CottageInfinity EscapeEscape roomIRLThe room itself is IMMACULATE. This is DEFINITELY a kid-friendly room but it is quite difficult while being kid-friendly? The “hint NPC” was a fun gimmick but it was like the discovery channel following an animal in the wild narrating every single thing that was happening. It tried to point us in directions we were already going in at times, causing us to backtrack through things we had already done. Getting misgendered by an NPC was not on my 2026 bingo card, and wasn’t even the thing that made me dislike the room. Overall, it’s a good room to do with kids. I would absolutely recommend this as a kid-friendly room but I would not recommend this room if you’re neurodivergent or have demand-avoidance, as this room has a lot of moments that feel like “oh good! Can you do the dishes now?” RIGHT as you’re grabbing the sponge to do the dishes. I just feel like the unsolicited hints were for someone of a lesser skill level and people should be allowed to fail.
