For decades, Ichabod Crane, a schoolhouse teacher from Sleepy Hollow, was beileved to have been a victim of the Headless Horseman. However, the Paranormal Response Task Force now thinks that Ichabod Crane survived his encounter with the Horseman. Worse, he found a way of controlling the Horseman, by the dark arts. And this knowledge has been passed on through his descendants. Now, they seem to have found the Horseman’s head, used it to summon him, and are controlling him to wreak havoc on the residents of Sleepy Hollow. Can you enter Crane Manor, and find the head, so the Horseman can be put to rest for good? You have 75 minutes. It’s time to plan your journey to Crane Manor! Set a date, count how many members there will be in your team of explorers of the paranormal, and finalize your booking. If it’s an occasion to celebrate, you can plan a special event with us!

Crane Manor was a last second addition to a trip up to ClueIQ and my goodness it was worth it. One of the cleanest executions of any escape game I’ve played. The game environment routinely opened or acted in unexpected ways and created an exciting game environment. The 75 minute timer would be necessary to most groups, especially those less experienced. Thank you to the owners! It was a pleasure to meet you and play your games!
The puzzles were excellent and unique without being overcomplicated. Everything flowed well.
The environment was as well executed as possible given the theme. The manor felt lived in and like a real house.
Our GM (who’s name I forget, my sincerest apologies) was welcoming and very friendly. Professional to a fault.
No
But it was an EXTREMELY well executed game throughout.
The story was well integrated into the game and made sense for the environment. Storytelling was excellent.
Hard
A good challenge.
It was a bit of both. There were elements that leant towards both ends of the scale.
3
There were non-linear sections but the game was best experienced as a smaller team. I would say no more than 4.
Spooky
Theming elements. No jumpscares.

Medium
Small lot with interesting restrictions.

It’s very decent. That’s really all I have to say.
No
Definitely not as good as it could have been for the Headless Horseman story, definitely more of a puzzle game than an immersive storytelling game
Hard
I almost put it as Medium though, the game has fairly standard puzzles but some of them have more steps to them than average and there’s a pretty good amount of them
High tech
Puzzles are mostly mechanical but the lighting is cool enough that I wanted to count this as High tech
4
Spooky
Pretty light spooky in my opinion tho, just the common loud sounds and a slightly ominous set

Enjoyed our time solving the mystery of this escape room. Lots of details to focus on and with 3 people we found it challenging and engaging. Moments of jump scares and sudden noises to be had. Overall a great experience with our game masters.

Great room. Many puzzle so recommend at least a 4 people group to attempt. Had the spooky vibe without it being super scary. The room was well designed and all the puzzles made sense.

This was one of my favorite escape rooms. I really liked that it was non-linear. That meant everyone could be working on something.

My husband and I completed this room with very little time leftover. We got hung up using one of the props incorrectly, but the Game Master didn't let us spend too long making such a dumb mistake. This room starts as a hallway but gradually expands to different sections of "the manor" and ends up covering a large area of space. It would be helpful to have a medium sized group so that you can speak to eachother from different rooms, without overcrowding in the beginning. The scary elements were not in play the whole time, or in every room. I don't enjoy being scared so I liked that I could step into less scary zones to take a breath when I started feeling anxious. I don't think it would make a good first room, but it is absolutely worth doing.
I really appreciate that the vibe of the room got progressively more scary as you work through the clues. It added more to the hurry-up-and-finish adrenaline than just the standard countdown.

They do a fantastic job on all their rooms. We played this room with our 2 older children, 18 and 16 yo respectively. The puzzles were intuitive and satisfying.

Great atmosphere.

Awesome experience, one of the best rooms we've done. So many things to do you will need to use your time wisely.

Really enjoyed this game. Love the theme. We liked this one more than Excalibur (which is still a fun game). The final room, however, could use a bit more signposting to improve the game flow. But overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

My partner and I were looking for an escape room and this location won awards so we took the chance. We drove out from Baltimore and we were not disappointed. We escaped the Crane Manor for two people at the 57 minute mark, so it is definitely doable with a duo but could also be enjoyable with a group of three to four. The puzzles were intuitive and stayed true to the story. The production is also of the highest quality. I could see why this location has the reviews and is very well-liked by enthusiasts!
Story was fun and flowed well!
Immersive set design and there were light effects too. The lobby also had an assortment of escape rooms in a box, which could set the mood as you are waiting for your room to be ready.
GM did not give us any clues unprompted, and asked us how we would like to receive clues.
“It was an unusual and puzzley escape game, and well worth checking out if you’re from the area.“
