Escaped with 3 people and it was really fun. Probably our favorite in the area with the linear clues and really immersive gameplay. Would definitely go to Locurio again to try other rooms. GM is nearby and clues are given through an iPad.

This was such an amazing room. The live actor was awesome, really helped make the whole experience more immersive. Gameplay was unique and fun! We had a blast, definitely one of our top favorite escape rooms we’ve done.

Loved how immersive this game was. The live actors were really great. You truly feel like you’re in the story through the set, props, and puzzles. You can tell the level of care that went into this. I think it’s a must do in Seattle. I would say a couple puzzles were not super intuitive and therefore less satisfying upon solving but overall still a great game.

The theme is pretty unique and the decor is well done (although a bit worse for wear due to age). The actor is a good addition, and the teamwork required for many of the puzzles is quite high, which is very nice. That said, I’m not sure why this room is so highly reviewed. Many of the puzzles are quite obtuse, leading to the frequent interruptions from the “immersive” hint device (an iPad). Being hounded by phone notifications in an escape room is not much of an escape from day to day life! One chamber in particular is exceedingly dark, which makes solving the safe lock quite challenging and led to a member of my party hitting their head really hard on a piece of the decor. This is my first review on this app but we’re definitely not inexperienced (probably 20-25 escape rooms).

Thank you so much for coming to play The Storykeeper - I'm so glad that you enjoyed the teamwork aspects of the game, but I'm terribly sorry to hear that you didn't walk away completely satisfied with your experience. We do our best to ensure each and every guest has an amazing time, and it's always crushing for us when someone doesn't have a 100% positive adventure. First and foremost, my utmost apologies for the dim lighting in one area of the game. The overhead lights in that room do dim over time, therefore we have taken your words into consideration and have added a portable lantern for teams to use in this part of the game. It's never our intention to make the game more difficult due to improper lighting conditions, which is why we installed spotlights in that room to highlight the 'important' areas, but we've added the lantern so that no part of the game is too dark. I'm also sorry that you found our puzzles to be obtuse! All three of the designers of this game come from a background in puzzling & gaming, so we take pride in designing puzzles that are engaging & layered, but always with the intention of making logical sense with *no* deductive leaps necessary. I'd be very interested to hear which puzzles or clues you found obtuse - if you're open to sharing, please email us at [email protected] and we'd love to see if we can clear anything up for you! I was also disappointed to hear that you felt our decor was "worse for wear due to age" as we implement fixes and tweaks on an extremely regular basis, as well as thoroughly clean the rooms daily. Of course, there are some items that can't be replaced at the first sign of wear, but it's incredibly important to us that someone coming in for their first visit sees a beautifully maintained space. Again, if you. have specific things that you noticed, we'd love to hear about them if you're willing to share. I'm so sorry that you didn't have an optimal experience with us, and we'll absolutely keep your remarks in mind to ensure we provide the best experience possible to all of our guests moving forward. The live actor really enhanced this room and then left us to our adventure. Changed my mind about live actors in escape rooms. Amazing story, puzzles were clever and one was super hard for our group. Truly is an exciting room.
