De Code The Child's Play

We were a team of 6 people. Although this room had potential, just a series of problems lead it to be a bad experience. First off, this room was only built to comfortably handle 4 people. Second, there were puzzles in this room that were pure time wasters. You had to wait for the puzzle to replay in order to get clues from it. There was also a puzzle item hidden in an impossible area that NO ONE would be able to find.

This room definitely suffered from what was common in “first gen” escape rooms (hunting for obscure objects, time sink puzzles, less focus on participant experience and more on the difficulty of the room). First gen I don’t think is inherently bad (I personally don’t care if there are padlocks or all sensors/electromagnetic) but I still want to have a fun time. And this one didn’t leave me with a fun/satisfied experience.
