Red alert! The government’s secret services made a discovery that didn’t end so well. After intense research in ancient woods, they discovered a peculiar weapon, hidden inside a gigantic three hundred year old tree: magical gnome hats. These hats were special; any gnome wearing one would immediately come to life. Six of these hats were stolen and fell into the hands of Pierrette Rodrigue-Tremblay, an honorable citizen of Saint-Louis-du-Ha!Ha! She innocently put the hats on her garden gnomes and they woke with the ambition to raise a gnome army and to take control of the world. The faith of humanity is in your hands, secret agents. Disguised as gardeners, you will be sent to Pierrette’s backyard. Your mission is to get the six magic hats back. You will have one hour to accomplish your mission, after which we will lose all control over the situation and the gnomes will officially take over the world.

The decor was beautiful, with a fun theme in Mission Nain-Possible. The puzzles and interactive elements were unique—we really enjoyed our experience! This was our 8th escape room ever (2 adults and 1 10-year-old child). We needed a few hints to finish on time. The only downside: it wasn’t always clear whether a puzzle had been solved. Like a sound or a door opening right next to us, for example.

This game is an award winner and honestly well-deserved. The narration was very funny, the puzzles plentiful and very unique (and we have played many games by now ). The set design was attractive and of good quality, the tech in all the puzzles worked seamlessly and the volume of puzzles allowed us to divide and play in parallel. This is a great game to play with younger gamers and families though experienced gamers will appreciate the creativity in the puzzles.

One of the first and best escape room games we've played. It was simple, immersive, and engaging. You can tackle several puzzles at the same time, which is fun when playing in a group.

I have to say, this game was a huge letdown. It’s more of a kids’ game than an adult one. I was expecting something big before I went in, but in the end, I walked out really disappointed.

This room is perfect for players new to the world of escape rooms. With a simple plot and a humorous storyline, it’s ideal for families and children looking for a fun experience without too much of a challenge. The puzzles are accessible, and the themed decor works well. We played with four people and recommend sticking to that number.

This room was a lot of fun. It does not take itself too seriously and is in general a lot of fun to play in. I highly recommend this room for kids or people who are new to escape rooms. The local staff was great at making sure the rooms were bilingual.
Gameplay flowed pretty good, got to keep your eyes wide open.
This room was on point for design and effects.
Staff here was amazing, friendly and always willing to talk about escape rooms.

Loads of veru clever and cute riddles. The set is fun and colorful! On another note, I do agree that the hint system at SOS is not the best, receiving hints can take some time which will make players lose time.

My first escape room. Communication with the GM via iPod was so-so. Slow responses. There were broken interactive elements in one puzzle. One puzzle had been solved, but the GM didn’t notice. It wasn’t until we asked what we were supposed to do that she realized it. Possibly not the GM’s fault. Having done other rooms at SoS Aventure since then, their GMs seem to have to multitask. That doesn’t allow them to pay attention to the game (I’ve had the same experience on each of my visits with different GMs).

Cute room, worth playing, but not without it's flaws. Some of the puzzles I thought were a little bit of a stretch, but nothing extreme. We really struggled with one puzzle in particular because we don't speak french. It's still a minor thing but it really tripped us up for some reason. While we were really just not at the top of our game that day, I do somewhat blame the stretches, slowness of the hint system, the power outage we experienced(not their fault) and the one puzzle for our failure. All minor but really messed up the pace and flow for us. This place has the single worst hint system I've seen after 500 rooms (except maybe one where there was a talking parrot) of all of the ways to cut corners, I really don't get why two way room audio isn't everywhere. And their way isn't a thematic choice either. And because we speak english it was even worse.. WAY worse.
Cute, not great flow.
Our GM was fantastic, friendly, and down to earty. I can't remember her name but 👍👍👍
