40 Thieves was recommended to us by another escape room host as her favorite and I can see why! Highly rewarding with difficult and unique clues. It started off straight forward and as we gained confidence, the clues got harder and harder. How did they fit so many clues in one game?! By the end, we were giggling about how crazy it got! The props were top notch and added to an immersive experience. We didnβt want to leave. My recommendation is to bring friends to this one. We had two people and even though we finished it, it was a big enough space that we needed to run back and forth. Teamwork is dream work in this one! Easily my top 5 favorites of all time.

This is an unexpectedly challenging room (relative to everything else we played at MindTrap). As always the set design and audiovisual effects are top-notch. A couple of puzzles are fiddly to a degree that the available controls donβt support as well as I would have liked, but we eventually got everything done. The theme is well executed from the very first moment to the very last moment. Bring some friends, you will want the help. Recommended.

This is a legitimately challenging room. We had four experienced puzzlers and barely finished in time.

This is the rare room that rewards a team of at least 4. I would say 5-6 might have been fine in terms of the amount of puzzles, but the space would be a little tight, so I am going to stick with 4 as my recommended size.

There are things that would be fun for younger kids, but the game is legit challenging and I think they might find it frustrating.

One person does have to crawl.
Somewhat accessible, but not the whole space. Many puzzles rely on colors, sound, and even smell.

Perfect mix of immersion and puzzles. Some of the best puzzles I've ever seen, and some of the coolest tech. Definitely a top 5

Very solid game with some really fun and unique puzzles. Great set design and atmosphere too! The game provided a lot to do so good for a group of 5-6. We had a ton of fun and the game promoted collaboration and communication in some neat ways too!

This was my 20th escape room and the best so far. Absolutely a beautiful and challenging room. The level of detail was excellent. I was impressed with the story and overall rhythm of the rooms challenges. Would recommend 4 people. A bucket list room for those visiting the SoCal area. My only wish is that I could do it again!

By far my favorite escape room! The set design is top notch, unreal the level of detail they put into this room. The intro show when you first get into the room is one of the coolest things iv seen, literally felt like we were at a Disneyland show/ride π. They did a great job breaking out so many different rooms into the space they had. The puzzles force you to work together and communicate as a team, rather than one person power housing through them all, which I liked. Overall, highly recommend doing this room. The tech is next level, youβll be sitting there with your jaw dropping at certain levels.

By far one of my all time favorite escape rooms! Everything from the way the experience is designed, to the smoothness of the puzzles, to the occasional narrators was perfect and I can understand why this game is so highly rated. It is not only unique but well executed to the point where I honestly couldn't find a single thing to improve. Even our GM, Dante, and the rest of the staff were awesome and accommodating throughout our entire experience. My team, which consists of 3 fairly experienced players with 20-25 rooms each under their belts, completed this game with just over 6 minutes left. Despite this, we never felt panicked or pressured and thoroughly enjoyed our time here while only needing 1 hint due to missing a visual cue. The way this game is designed definitely makes it harder for smaller groups, but not impossible, and makes it so larger groups can get multiple players busy with the sheer number of puzzles. Overall, I would definitely recommend this room to experienced enthusiasts with teams as small as 3 but would only recommend to newer players if they have a larger group to share the burden of all the puzzles.
I've never had so many awesome puzzles flow so well to the point where the only hint we needed was because we kept missing a visual cue that would have been noticed by a large group. It made the game enjoyable and rewarding as it gave you just the right amount of context to connect clues and puzzles without making it too easy.
From the start the design and special effects draw you in and keep you surprised throughout. The story is told and narrated in a wonderful way and certain events are perfectly integrated with the theme and flow of the room. Nothing seemed overly cheap or worn down, which is quite the accomplishment for a popular escape room.
The staff and GMs were awesome! We've done all the rooms at this location and the staff have always been accommodating, cheerful, and respectful of how we want to play. Couldn't have asked for better staff!

I can understand why this experience is so highly rated! There are so many things about this game that make it unique and memorable, to include the design and puzzles. Believe me when I say that this experience will make an impression and delight those smart enough to take it on.
One of the few escape room experiences that stays true to the story and utilizes the setting/atmosphere to the best of their ability to make a unique and clever game. Not only do you know what the story is at the start but your progress throughout the game follows along it quite well and the conclusion ties it all up nicely so you actually complete something related to it rather than a loosely related concept or idea that I'm used to from other escape rooms.
Hard
Many of these puzzles take some thought and cleverness and the sheer number of them is one of the primary reasons a larger group is encouraged. None of the puzzles are impossible and can be figured out with enough thought or observation.
High tech
This experience is a fair mix of mechanical and high tech but it definitely utilizes the tech more for special effects along with the puzzles. I would come prepared for a healthy mix of both as there are numerous puzzles that utilize magnets, sensors, numbers, and light to solve.
6
While we completed this game with 3 players, 4-6 experienced players would have definitely made some parts easier as there is a lot of communication that has to occur at the end. The number of puzzles and the complexity of later puzzles also pushes for larger groups to easy the time burden. The rooms themselves are mostly spacious and easily accommodates 6 players so don't be afraid of feeling cramped. Anymore than 6 might get hectic but would be recommended for those who are less experienced.
Not scary
There is a certain part that gives you a brief jump scare or fright but it honestly results in those affected laughing at the sheer cliche of it.

Many of these puzzles are complicated at later portions and while a child can definitely help with the simpler puzzles near the start, they may flounder a bit near the end. Regardless, if included in a larger and more experienced group, younger kids can definitely enjoy this game and even notice subtle details as it was our own 10 year old who noticed something we didn't and helped us crack the last puzzle. Please ensure your children are respectful as there are numerous loose objects that can be picked up or thrown about that can be damaged by carelessness.
No
Not a single thing was broken or worn out. In fact, everything looks so crisp and well kept that I was thoroughly impressed considering the sheer amount of moving pieces and the popularity of this experience.
No
There are certain points in the room where you interact with people, but think of them as brief narrators who then use props or the room itself to give you items as rewards. You never outright interact with a physical person outside of your team.
Very
You are going to be moving around a whole lot in this experience. If you have a smaller group, you will definitely be getting your cardio in as you go from one room to the other connecting all the puzzles and clues.
While some sections of this experience are friendly for those with mobility issues, I wouldn't recommend it as there is one part where at least one person has to crawl and another where the floor tiles shift. Color and sounds are also a major part of some puzzles, making it difficult for those with vision or auditory issues.

This was easily one of my favorite rooms Iβve ever done. Really fun interactive puzzles. There are a ton of non-linear puzzles so a lot to do for a group. There is some crawling required in a small space but nothing crazy. Iβm still buzzing after completing the room.
