40 Thieves

40 Thieves is a masterclass in escape room design. From the minute I walked in, I felt like I was about to experience something incredible. And I did. From the intro “cut scene” to the interactions with the shopkeepers to the collaborative puzzles that get your party to look around the premises and communicate, they did such a good job with everything. I could see why this room earned its spot in the TERPECA awards. This is worth the drive if you’re coming from LA like we were. I would also recommend getting a bigger group because there are so many puzzles to do!

This room was fantastic! No wonder it’s won so many awards. This is a must do escaperoom. Not a traditional escaperoom. It starts with a wonderful intro and the puzzles were amazing. The decor was awesome and Morgan our GM was great! This company is great and can’t wait to play more. We completed it with 3 people.

Amazing intro, a great set, some really memorable puzzles, and great use of tech all combine to make this a must play room.

40 thieves is one of the highest rated games in all of SoCal, and it earns that spot. This was my 200th game, and it was a phenomenal game for that. The effects in this game, the intro “cutscene,” the interactions with the shop-keeps, just everything about this room was phenomenally well done. If you are in SoCal, it is worth a trip to Temecula to do this game, and while you’re down there do Mindtrap’s other games, they’re all hits as well.

Isaia was a fantastic GM! Giving us subtle nudges that were really helpful, but not giving it away. 40 Thieves room was really immersive and had very well-thought out puzzles that we had never seen before. Can’t wait to come back to do another game!

This room ranks amongst my absolute favorites of all time. Me and my family visited this room and were immediately greeted by three really lovely game masters. Isaia, Jacob, and Madi you were all really awesome thank you so much for making this an awesome experience. The room itself is really difficult and immersive and ultra non-linear. Super cool room!! 100/10 would recommend especially for experienced escapers!

Awesome mechanics and theme, great connective puzzles with activation instead of normal locks. Liked the non linear aspects. Some puzzles did not activate immediately when triggered but otherwise very cool experience.

It was everything I wanted and more. Puzzles that were intellectually delightful, looked beautiful and had surprises along the way. True first class staff who love escape rooms deeply

Truly a masterpiece! One of the most gorgeous and engaging escape rooms we’ve ever experienced (and we’ve tackled plenty). Clever and inventive puzzles with top of the line effects and immersion.

Easily the number one escape room I've played, though I've only hit about a dozen at this point. Theatrical intro opens into a well themed room with a lot of non-linear puzzles. The sheer amount of puzzles in this one is pretty high, and they manage to have just about every kind. No combo locks, but a lot of the puzzles have the shortcut of if you figure out the first 3 parts, just brute force the last part. We also had a lot of random brute forced moments by accident, but nothing ruined the game (actually kind of funny). Theme is on point and the surprises and reveals were super cool. We managed to do this as a 2 person team, but I definitely recommend a solid 4 players for this game. Lots of puzzles and things to do as a group, just need to keep track of solved puzzles.
