The old Blackwell Manor has sat vacant for over a century upon a lonely hill just outside of town. Legend has it, the once-grand manor is still inhabited by its former occupants, the Blackwell Family. It's rumored that lights are often seen coming from the house even though there's no electricity. No one from town dares to step foot within its crumbling frame. If you listen closely enough on a stormy night, you can hear the blood-curdling screams coming from the house's direction. You have been challenged to spend just one hour locked inside the manor. The bragging rights alone are worth it. There's no such thing as ghosts, right?

This was a fantastic game. The set is unbelievably good, the puzzles were all fair and logical, and the finale is really cool. If you like horror games, 100% check this one out!

One of my favorite rooms in all of Albuquerque! The set feels huge. Much of the story is linear, and while I usually prefer a more open adventure, this one was extremely well crafted. While I love a scary escape room, this was only medium-scary - perfect to drag along friends who are a little more mainstream!

If you want to be immersed in a haunted mansion that is incredibly well made and also has a great story, definitely play this room. The set: To start, the set with this room is phenomenal, you get all the parts to a haunted mansion. Everything inside immediately immerses you. This is top notch set production. The story: With this room, I was absolutely blown away by how well the designers managed to tell the story to the audience. You get a front row seat to see and feel how the family that once was in this house lived and interacted. Your sight, smell, hearing, and touch will all be encapsulated which furthermore makes the story be much more compelling and memorable. The Puzzles: I enjoyed quite a few of the puzzles in this room. A lot of the puzzles are on the more interactive side but it fits the room really well. This all goes with saying that one puzzle in the later part of the room was not very enjoyable to solve. I will say this room is not about the puzzles though.
Best set Iβve seen to date.

We did this room as a group of 2 just fine but if you have more it wouldnβt hurt the experience at all.
Spooky
Some moments were set up to be a little frightening but overall itβs pretty manageable.

If you have a kid that is fine with spooky experiences and you have others with them so they donβt feel alone then itβs fine. Not a gore intensive room.

Short crawl needed for one player to open door for rest of group.
If one player can make the short crawl then you should be fine. As far as sight, some parts can be dark for reading things but they do allow flashlights if needed so donβt hesitate to pull out your flashlight if you canβt see part of a puzzle.

This is a very well done horror room that does everything right when it comes to the beautiful set and the well-crafted story. Some of the action in this room is jarring in a great way, and things I have not seem in any other rooms. This is a room that I recommend very highly.

Blackwell Manor has some of the most beautiful sets Iβve ever seen in an escape room. The exterior facade plus the interior of the house are next level. I absolutely loved the atmosphere. The puzzles are good, not great. Some of the puzzles are things Iβve seen before. One puzzle is particularly frustrating but overall we enjoyed it.

It is absolutely worth playing this room for the set design alone. The puzzles are pretty easy and the hint system is context-aware, so I think it would be hard to fail to get out of this room even for a team of total novices. Just enjoy the atmosphere and donβt feel like you have to rush through. There arenβt that many puzzles and the game is linear, so enjoy the audiovisual payoff of solving things and soak up the spooky haunted house atmosphere! Recommended.
The set is fantastic.

Easy except for one puzzle that involves putting a set of things in a specific order. Even after taking a hint we still did not completely understand why the correct order was correct. The owner was kind enough to explain it us afterward, though! :)

One person has to make a short crawl and can then open a door for everyone else.
Very accessible apart from the aforementioned short crawl.

The first truly immersive escape room I experienced in New Mexico. I've done this room multiple times just to watch others do it. The puzzles I have to admit are very easy. The immersion, story and set design is the biggest plus to this room. Especially for someone like me, who scares easily, I was thoroughly entertained. I'd recommend this as an introduction to escape rooms. Kept me wanting more; I hope they make a room like this but harder.

I really like this venue and their staff! The sets in both of the rooms we did today (Blackwell Manor and Super Secret) were stellar. Unlike Super Secret, I felt like the set outshined the puzzles in Blackwell Manor. The puzzles didnβt wow me, and how they matched to the storyline were just okay, but I still enjoyed the room as a whole.

Perfect ambiance. Definitely a Hollywood scale production value. Not typically into scary themes but this game did a good job of being spooky and never terrifying, at least for me. It also had a few satisfying puzzles that tied into the story thematically which I always enjoy. We honestly had a great experience and there isnβt really anything negative I can say about it.
Jamie is a delightful GM :)
