As part of the Paranormal Division of the Bureau (aka The Cult And Spectral Phenomena Examination Research Team) you have been assigned an investigation at a local house where neighbors have been witnessing flashing lights and unexplained sounds coming from the home. The previous investigative team started a few days ago, but 60 minutes into their investigation the entire team suddenly disappeared, just like the team before them. Together you will assemble your team of brave investigators and find out who or what is taking our team members. There is something strange about the house on the corner… The information we have about the family who lived there is sparse. We know that two sisters had lived at the house after inheriting it from their parents. The sisters were inseparable, only a year apart they did everything together from volleyball games, hiking, and being instagram foodies. But when one of them suddenly dies the other went into a deep dark depression and was haunted by the fact that her beloved sister was no longer with her. Its up to you to find out the secret being kept inside this house.. are you brave enough to face your fears and uncover the truth? Are you unlockable?

This is a great spooky escape room! I would recommend 3-4 players. We had 2 and almost didn’t make it out, despite having 75 minutes to complete. A lot of the difficulty comes from the non-linearity of it, and if you’re like me, you’ll get overwhelmed by too much information right off the bat. The staff was incredible, and three different employees chatted with us for a long while after our game about their love for escape rooms. It’s very clear that everyone working here is super passionate about what they do. Also, if you like Hamilton, you’ll love all the little references!

So glad to see this game is still around. Sometimes, an escape room is also trying to tell you a story or even harder, they want you to solve a mystery. When this happens, it's very easy to make the whodunit the focal point & the escape room part is just meh. Other times, the opposite. Worst of all is a failed attempt at integration where you are trying to escape the room but the solving-the-mystery part gets in the way & is annoying. Or the gamesmaster has to explain the answer after the game is over. So after hearing all that, it's the rare room that threads the needle where everything works: the escape, the puzzling, the solving of the mystery-all with flow & where nothing needs explaining by the game's end. Sister's Secret is that room. There's a reason it's so award winning. I HIGHLY recommend this room. Put it on your wishlist.

This was a fun room full of lots of puzzles. Not the most difficult ones to solve, but a good puzzle grinder that will fill up a lot of your time.

Fully accessible except there would be a couple tight squeezes for someone in a wheelchair, but not everyone has to do those parts.

This room has so much potential. The set and vibe are wonderfully creepy and I thought that several of the puzzles were really clever. This room just lacks some signposting to make it a truly amazing room. Our group wasted so much time on puzzles that were visible/available, but not quite ready to be solved yet, but there was no way to know that. Also, starting out with only one flashlight in a low lighting room can get frustrating. Good staff and overall we had fun, but to think how good this room could truly be.
Overall, we had fun. It simply lacked some direction so that we wouldn’t have wasted so much time working on puzzles that we actually couldn’t solve yet.
Very nice set and soundtrack to set the mood.
Great staff.
The story was integral to the room and evolved as we progressed.
Medium
Again, a lack of signposting made the room more difficult than it could be.

3-5 is ideal. There are several tight spaces so no large groups. Also, it’s got low lighting and they only start you out with one flashlight.

Of the two we got to play at the Unlockables, this was definitely the better one. We unfortunately couldn’t play The Escape as it is 4 player required and even with other owners of company’s in SD trying to help, nothing we could do. Anyway, this room had a great set, great atmosphere, it’s definitely spooky, but there’s no real jump scares or anything. As for the puzzles and the flow of the room, the room is very nonlinear, and it’s never clear what puzzles you should be working on when which detracted from the game a little. Overall this was a good room, but it was quite difficult.

Our team of 3 experienced players completed this room in 72 minutes (out of 75) with 2 hints. We decided to do this room after we completed The Oracle at The Unlockable's Poway location and discovered fairly quickly that it was much more challenging. The theme was fun and the room itself was well decorated but the sheer number of word and reading puzzles was a bit overwhelming. Overall, this is a very challenging room that I recommend for more experienced teams. Don't get hung up on any one puzzle for too long if you feel you might not have the entire picture and don't hesitate to ask for a nudge or two if you feel stuck. The room can be overwhelming at certain intervals but is overall enjoyable with several puzzles that will give you a sense of satisfaction when you solve it.
Most of the gameplay flowed well but there were several times where our group hit a bottleneck where only 1 difficult puzzle was workable, causing the other players to crowd around it or wait for it to be solved. That did get a bit frustrating.
The set and design was very well done and immersive to the story. It's not often I see a room that transforms so smoothly throughout the course of an experience through the clever use of lighting.
Camille was great and super friendly. She was one of the few GMs I've ever had ask for our hint preferences and stay true to it.
No
Several unique light elements but overall not overly memorable.
The plot was kind of cliche and had a few holes at the end which left stuff unanswered. While some of the puzzles were tied into the story, there were more nearing the end that seemed a bit random or disconnected.
Hard
Definitely a challenging room with a lot to do. There's a reason this room is 75 minutes instead of the usual 60.
Mechanical
Most locks in this room were magnetic, number, or word lock based with lights ands being used to provide clues.

While there are a ton of puzzles in this room, there are also several "choke points" in the puzzles and smaller spaces that limit progress and restrict the number of people in a space at a time. Doing this room with only two people is doable but extremely busy.
Spooky
Semi spooky feeling with a jumpscare or two but overall not very scary or anything. The Oracle was spookier.

Just a lot of running around from one part of the room to another.
A bit cramped at some points that would make it difficult for those with mobility issues. This room also uses lights, sounds, and colors a lot in it's puzzles so be mindful if you have a disability that impacts your ability to notice these.

There was lots to do for multiple players, definitely recommend atleast 3, many things that are found are used much later than when originally found
Very nonlinear but everything connects
decent special effects
staff is very friendly
plot wasn’t super important to the room

This was a heavily puzzled room which we really enjoyed. It just became a bit tough for a 2 person group to keep a flow because of the numerous tasks. We kept jumping from one puzzle to another. But if we had a few more eyes I could see this flowing much better. So unfortunately for us, we had to request a lot more hints than we hoped for because we wanted to make sure we get to the end. The puzzles were smart and intuitive. Some we’ve never experienced before so a lot of them felt rewarding when you figured them out. More spooky than scary and some good special effects. Our GMs were awesome. Really enthusiastic and welcoming. I highly recommend this room but I think this is one best for maybe 4 or 5.

We did 2 and felt it was tough to stay on track as there’s a number of things to do. I think 4 would be more ideal to have extra eyes on different areas of the room.

My group played all 8 rooms at the 3 locations and had an amazing time!! Mary was our GM; she was so welcoming and made each experience unique in its own way. Edwin was also super amazing and accommodating to us the entire day. Thanks everyone for a great experience! :) I definitely recommend playing all locations if you have the time. This was my favorite room out of the 8, though. It had great theming and the puzzles were difficult but doable. Also had a spooky vibe that was just scary enough to keep the group scared while still successfully completing the puzzles.
