This was a different style of room. One puzzle component was extremely difficult and the puzzle master had to give us the code because of the physical difficulty of completing the puzzle.

The main component of the game needed a reset to work properly. Our game master was attentive and fixed it quickly.

This room was… interesting. It was really aesthetically pleasing, and some of the tech was really cool. I feel like between the lighting, the amount of puzzles, and the non linear play style, there was just too much going on. As for the hints, I really wish the GM would’ve given us true hints instead of just handing us answers. Overall, I was really excited for this room, and was a tad let down.

We truly enjoy this escape room company but this one was a bit frustrating. There’s a lot to do and the few nuggets they give you to accomplish this really leave you needing to divide and conquer. BUT that’s borderline impossible with being given only 1 light that’s needed for every game and puzzle. The marker and the white board were well loved as well and didn’t work so that left time wasted. The first escape room of its kind that we have played and it was creative and unique.

I was really excited about trying this escape room out, but I was very disappointed with The Cursed Isles game play. To be honest, I’m wondering if the game master would have just gave us hints rather than straight up telling us the answers to the puzzle would have been nice. I feel like you shouldn’t have to start off by telling us the answer to a puzzle we haven’t even began exploring…I was mainly bummed we didn’t get to just fully look at it all of the clues. Had we had the time to really look at everything in the room uninterrupted maybe we would have saw the things we needed to progress in the game. I found it very distracting. I understand that maybe the Game Master was trying to be helpful, but for us is wasn’t. I felt there were some red herrings in this room. Especially in the beginning of the game. I think this room needs either reworking or retire.
Basically we were plopped in the room with no prompts on what or where to start. The puzzles were so bad that the GM kept giving us the puzzles and answers to the puzzles before we could even get to it. It was so distracting and took away from the whole experience.
Atmosphere was cool.
GM was nice, but too eager to give hints and answers away.
Hard
Difficult because the puzzles were bad. It’s either you know the trick or you don’t.
