A woman named Josie has recently passed away, leaving behind a storage room filled with decades of collected memories and cryptic secrets. Remnants of her entire life are all here in one place - left for you to discover. As a young girl growing up in the 1960s, Josie was gifted a tape recorder and began documenting every part of her life. But in her old age, she has become almost unrecognizable, warped by the tragic events of her past. The Nest is an intimate, live experience for two audience members at a time, combining elements of immersive theater, narrative video games, serialized podcasts, and escape rooms into a new way to experience a story. Equipped with a flashlight, search through personal effects, explore your surroundings, and listen to audio cassettes to piece together the dramatic narrative of Josie's life.

The topics presented are sensitive and specific. Some individuals enjoy feeling sorrow because they feel it gets their creative juices flowing. Perhaps this experience is for them. For those who enjoy an upbeat experience & do not want to be reminded of the hurtful aspects of life, a different experience may be preferable.

Team of 4, it was a bit of a squeeze but we didn’t mind. It’s essentially a storyline-heavy escape room, there are no live actors. Great production - impressive use of set and gating with tools to control flow through the experience. Recommend.

While this is not an escape room per se, it was the most immersed that we’ve ever been in another world. Beautiful story. Completely immersive. Best production I’ve seen. Highly recommend!

This is not an “escape room”, but it takes familiar mechanics and uses them to take you through an emotional story. Incredible build, great pacing, lots of discovery, difficult themes. Strongly recommended.

If you're looking for a puzzle-heavy experience, this isn't that. But if you're looking for a thought provoking, potentially emotional experience augmented with puzzles, this is perfect for you. I love immersive experiences (Sleep No More in NYC got me started) and this is one of the best. The level of detail in the construction is amazing, and how this plays into the storyline makes it so meaningful. I was in tears at the end, because I'm sappy and sentimental like that. I can't say more without spoiling it. If you remember the Myst game of the 00's, this gave us the same vibe: clever interaction, atmosphere, storyline, but also the clearly heartfelt construction of it. Easily my favorite escape room experience.

Intimate Immersive Unique It’s more of an immersive story that you unfold, with some escape-room elements. I found it to be a touching experience. Highly recommend!

The Nest is an immensely beautiful and moving story set in a wondrous and unique world. It's important to come in with the exception that th puzzling is very light and most of your time will be spent exploring environments and listening to audio tapes. The story that these tapes tell, however, is what truly makes the Nest an unique experience. Come prepared to feel all the feels.

It's hard not to go into detail with this room for spoilers. There are some heavy subject matters that you will experience but it was a room that I won't forget. Keep in mind it has escape room elements but it's not a escape room.

This room made my heart clench, it was beautifully executed for some hard topics. It kept me and my friend talking about life all the way home. ❤️

While this is not an escape room but rather an immersive theatre experience, it should not stray anyone away from how amazing this room really is. The set design, the story, the audio. Everything was fantastic start to finish. HOWEVER, I really do not think the price of $125-150 should be placed on this room. While this is a hands-on experience (that should really only be played by one person), I don’t think there was really enough to make it be worth the amount of money that you pay to experience the room. Although the whole experience is great, there is nothing that is too different or unique to make it worth a large sum of money (maybe something like in the $60-70 range would be a lot better).
