25 escape rooms
H. H. Holmes set up practice in South Carolina. Like most murder rooms, you learn a bit about your host and his victims. We two were paired with a family of four to fill out the room and we worked well together. Hints are available and useful. There is no creepy music. They have a helpful light system that tells you if you are on-track to solve the puzzle, falling behind, or completely stuck and need to ask for a hint.
Gameplay
Even though this is a first gen experience, there were plenty of surprises. It’s semi-linear and the one hint we got was helpful.
Atmosphere
The props are a bit worn but overall it was a good creepy time.
Customer service
Our GM was very welcoming and great at explaining the does and fonts of the room. She kept a straight face when I accidentally guessed one of the surprises.
