Special Ops: Mysterious Market

I loved the set for this challenge, it is one of my favorites!

We had a great time and really enjoyed this room. We don’t at all regret doing it. The puzzles were great, and the room flowed really well in both story and intuitiveness. The game master was good, and, as always with TEG, the theming was on-point. Really cool vibe to the room for sure. One big caveat, it’s important to remember that TEG does not do private rooms unless you get lucky, get them to make an exception, or book out the entire room. Because of this, none of their rooms will ever get anything above a like from us. We had special permission because of social anxiety, but they often will put you with others anyway. However, be aware of the area that this location is in. There were a lot of drunks around the area. There was a drunk driver that was literally going the wrong way down the street. This is a party area, and it’s kind of sketchy late at night on a weekend. There’s also absolutely no parking on the street around it. The best we could find was in an Ace Parking Garage at 6th and Kay. That was $10 for parking and was the only way we could find parking after a half hour of looking.

This was an awesome room. This may be my favorite from here, but it has been a long time since we did gold rush and the playground. The story flowed very well and kept us very immersed. Our group had a great time with a mix of 2 that have done over 100 rooms and 2 that had done 1 combined room before.

Just be warned they might fill out your team. Make sure you are doing just your team if that’s what you want

Great ambience and staff!! Fun and challenging puzzles.

What a fun room! There were some puzzles we hadn’t seen before and the puzzles fit the overall spy theming very well. The set was well made and did not feel worn out. The only downside of playing games with this company is that they have public bookings, meaning strangers could join your room. I wish The Escape Game would take a page from the other 99% of escape rooms and allow private bookings (without having to pay $360 to buy out 8 spots in a room 🙄). Nobody wants this.

One of my favorites. I loved the flow of this room and the different themes. The plot/story line was so interesting and kept to a theme. Multiple tricky spots so you have to pace yourself, because there are a lot of puzzles. There were multiple times we thought we had won but there was another step. We wouldn’t have escaped but they gave us a 5 min handicap because Groot had to leave the room for a bit. We did 4 of their escape rooms and the staff was fantastic for each room.

The theme of this room was pretty cool, and the puzzles fit it very well! I personally find the set design at most Escape Game rooms to be fantastic, and this one was no exception - a great experience!

Great game with one of my preferred game companies. Experience is always immersive and with puzzles in great working order with tech and unique puzzles and patterns rather than just locks. Great attitude of today’s GM. Minimal hints required and escaped within the allotted time!
