Egypt has reawakened ! Deep inside the Pyramid of Giza, an ancient shrine dedicated to the Egyptian Goddess Bastet has been unearthed by your team. You have been obsessed with the story, The Heart of Bastet, ever since your grandfather whispered it to you at night while putting you to sleep. He disappeared years ago at the exact same site. Was it sabotage ? Did he just run out of air ? Or could more sinister forces be to blame ? Your Grandfather was considered the best archaeologist of his day. How is it possible that you could complete what he could not ? Will you find what is left of him ? Will you make it out alive ? You only have enough air for your team to survive for one hour. You seek the Heart of Bastet !

Wonderful atmosphere, fun puzzles (nothing too hard), and Whinney was an excellent GM! Really nice attention to detail in terms of the props. Well cared for. Fun reveals and payoffs. Nice variety of environments and puzzle types. Highly recommend!

After doing over 100 escape rooms, I was very impressed doing this room! Dated a great job on everything from having a great energy game leader, to a good storyline, to unique “wow” moments throughout the room! We did it with two people, but newer players might enjoy a group of three or four Very impressed how well kept things are considering how many props and items you’re moving around, you can feel the care that has been put into maintaining its quality. All the puzzles are incredibly wealth themed and designed, and we are coming back tomorrow to do more rooms ha ha

Fantastic room with great technical elements except 3 or 4 puzzles were broken / required GM intervention or manual failsafes, could use an update especially given how expensive the room was (over $100 for 2 ppl)

Lots of fun! Super solid room with clever puzzles. Thankfully they choose to light it well inside as darkness would’ve added a significant more degree of difficulty (and probably spookiness). Probably best with a small group, more than 4 is too many.

We had an enjoyable time playing Heart of Bastet! This escape room has progression, a blend of gen 1 and high tech puzzles, and the set design was amazing! What this escape room does well is its linear format, the immersion of the set design, and the uniqueness of the puzzles. From beginning to the end, these puzzles were a lot of fun to engage it and interact with! I would say that the escape room is somewhat short as we finished with about 15 min urea to spare. It has the potential for more, but they made the most use of the physical space that they had, but trust me, it was pretty immersive! We were feeling the Surface Pressure, and we wouldn’t have it any other way!
Gameplay
The game play was pretty linear and had some unique elements to it. Although the puzzles were a good combination of high tech and gen 1 puzzles, they also included some puzzles that went against your typical escape room logic which was pretty genius and powerful lol.
Atmosphere
I would definitely say that this one of the best Egyptian themed rooms that I’ve experienced, however; I wish it was longer. There are smaller spaces and I would recommend this room for a group of 4 players or less so that everyone feels more comfortable in the physical space.

Lexie was our Game Master, and she is amazing! Truly one of the best! Wish the hunt system was utilized in another way, but Lexie was attentive to our needs and kept us on the right path.
