Search for the Cure

I’m not one to leave bad reviews but I reached out multiple times (email, number, Instagram dm) to get this resolved with zero response. This was the first game I played with them and the customer service was horrible not to mention the fact the ENTIRE third room was left open with all of the locks and keys for the room just laying on a table. Nothing was done to rectify this but still we gave them a second chance and played another room (inheritance) with no additional discounts offered other than the 2nd game in a day one that WE asked for. That room was also once again not fully reset and every time we were given a clue for either game it was something we had already solved and moved on from. The cure room design was interesting and pretty immersive but definitely didn’t outweigh the negatives.

We went with a large group (4 of us booked online and then another 4 were interested in coming). We arrived 50 min prior to our reservation to see if the additional 4 could play any available room (online there were times for other rooms starting every 15 min) and told them we were very willing to wait and had no room preference. They were not the happiest with that- the 4 who came in person paid $20 less per person than the 4 of us who booked online - so getting a reservation actually only penalizes you haha. We landed on getting a room that started at 7:10 two people hadn’t yet arrived because we had told them 7:40 start time so they were getting there at 7:15… they were like well they’re not here yet so you have to start without them… even though again the 7:10 room we hadn’t booked until that moment and it was awhile before our 7:40 group room and we were willing to have people who had signed the 7:40 waivers and were already there enter the 7:10 room. We clearly stressed them so we just started the room. We solved numerous puzzles without finishing all of the pieces and one of the main puzzles was broken, so it was anticlimactic. The set up has all the pieces to be an amazing room and there is a neat/spooky vibe, I just won’t return to this location for their other rooms.

Did this game along time ago, but it still holds up. Really kind of exciting. Not your traditional zombie game. From where you start off, to where you end up, makes sense. Really good puzzles, but there’s a lot to do. Definitely worth doing!

The beginning of this room is really good. The set looks awesome and it has some really fun puzzles. Once you move on, however, the puzzles get less and less logical and more and more boring. It felt like 90% of the time and budget went into the first 15 minutes of the room. The final puzzle especially was annoying. It made sense, but was such a time waster and repetitive having nothing to do with the story whatsoever. Our game master was barely paying attention to us it seemed and didn’t give us any helpful clues when we asked for them. She even walked through the wide open front door saying we didn’t get out. I told her I put the final code in, the light turned green, and the door was open, and asked why we didn’t escape. She had no answer, but still claimed we didn’t finish. I even straight up told her the final code, which she confirmed was correct, but somehow we didn’t escape. And yes, there was still ample time remaining on the clock when I put the code in. It was a very frustrating game experience and the absolute worst customer service I’ve experienced.

This room was made very well! So creepy and one of the best we’ve experienced!
