A good room overall. There was a lot reading in this room. We did it first thing in the morning and there was a lot of thinking to do for me that early (haha). Traditional lock and keys, with good linear flow. Would recommend if you are looking for a classic escape room style room.

A very solid escape room! The set was well designed. The puzzles are a little non-linear and there was a good bit of clever word play involved which stumped our group after playing some other rooms the same day. The staff was amazing and this room is a solid addition to Escape Hour's offerings!

A game where the puzzles really shine through! I actually think this room is more well suited towards a group of experienced players looking to break free from some of the trappings that too much immersion can bring to a room. The puzzles are really well thought out and rewarding, the lighter theming (at least in terms of Escape Hours other fantastic theming) plays perfectly into the room’s aesthetic. Highly recommend!

Loved this room! Really puts you in the set if a Sherlock Holmes movie. Out of the box thinking with very rewarding puzzles. Great job escape hour.

I honestly preferred A Christmas Unremembered which was the game this replaced by a fair margin. The room was solid but a weak offering from Escape Hour given their repetoire. I am a huge fan of Sherlock Holmes, and this was kind of a miss in terms of theming. There were a couple of references to the books, but it felt entirely surface level. The room had an emphasis on puzzles, and there were plenty to solve. Things got confusing at times, and the flow was a marked step down from their other games as well. That being said, I didn't hate any of the puzzles, but there weren't any puzzles I felt were particularly novel or clever either. Overall, the only way I could describe this experience as is... fine. Really the only thing I think was executed poorly was the incorporation of Sherlock Holmes in the narrative, but there also wasn't any wow moments or surprises. I'm sure my disappointment in this game failing to capture the essence of Sherlock Holmes played a big part of my lack of enthusiasm as well.

The biggest reference to Sherlock Holmes is the name of the street.

Badly designed room. We were missing two pieces of two puzzles. Its a bad experience with big logical leaps to get the solution of the puzzle after you’ve finished it. If you’ve put together all the pieces in the puzzle in the correct order and then have to get a hint to figure out how they want you to get the solution, and then try that solution on every single lock in the room because there are multiple locks with the same number of digits/letters, its poorly designed.

A solid room. Lots of puzzling. Escape Hour Austin likes to stay unique in their puzzling which is great. One of the puzzles (alphabet) used more than once was a little less intuitive than everything else. Immersive sets. Great way to get hints that didn't disrupt the vibe!
