Rating: 4/5 I really liked this room but I feel it has been a bit overhyped, there were a few things I wasn't a fan of. Maybe it's because it's been around for so long. However, I do understand why so many people like this room as it's innovative and tech heavy. Pros: -Excellent use of technology and lighting -Cool puzzle mechanics that I've never seen before -Video game inspired elements built into the room -Lots of teamwork required -Some big reveals and "wow" moments -Fun puzzles requiring physical movements -No number pads or number puzzles -Barely any locks, the ones that were there fit the theme Things that could've been better: -Very light on story, felt too much like a puzzle room for my tastes -Game felt a bit longer than necessary, like at least one puzzle was a bit tedious and took too long, some unnecessary repetition -The order of the puzzles didn't feel natural. It felt like we hit the climax when most games would end, but then the puzzles kept coming -Too many puzzles had text directions on how to solve them, the game should be more intuitive Cons: -A power issue disabled the room, it had to be reset and we had to restart a puzzle -Our game master was giving too many hints unprompted for things we weren't even struggling with You definitely need 4 people to complete some of the puzzles, I wouldn't recommend more than 6 as there isn't as much to do in parallel. I preferred Attraction over Edison since there is a stronger narrative, more interesting/transformative/immersive set, and more sense of adventure/discovery. If you are a puzzle snob, you might like Edison more.

This room had some unique puzzles. It relies heavily on technology and we did experience an oops moment with that but they quickly came and restarted it. Our youngest kid got bored and kind of sat down for a while. The ending, what we later were told are "finale puzzles" were redundant and felt like they were just showing off what they could do. Apparently some of those get skipped for groups that took longer. Since we breezed through, we got them all. It made the climactic moment from before less because all we left with was this techy memory. I would have left happily and skipped all that. They could have made that it's own experience.

First half of the room had some fun and unique puzzles. The second half of the room felt like an afterthought due to the repetitive nature of the puzzles.

Some fun and creative puzzles but had too much repetition. The repetitive puzzles at the end felt like filler. Our team of 5 escaped with 20 minutes left. I haven’t been impressed by Palace Games but this is my favorite of the 3 rooms I’ve done.

INCREDIBLE room! Though I’m reviewing this years after I first did it, I need to remark that after dozens more around the world, this room still stands out as one of the best ones I’ve ever done. The creativity of the puzzles, the technicality of the interactions, and the set design are stellar. It’s a little more old school so there isn’t an element of story immersion, but it doesn’t need anything more than what it’s got to remain one of the top rooms in the world.

Such a great room it has moved into my top three of all time! Story and puzzles were original and creative. Must do if you are in San Francisco. The only problem with this room is that I can’t do it again!!! Staff was very nice and friendly.

Absolutely wild game. Nothing like I’ve ever experienced before. The story’s pretty light on this one, but that’s really not the point. The technology in this game is next level, with some super unorthodox, fun puzzles. One section gets a bit repetitive, but the rest of the game is such high quality that it really doesn’t matter. If you’re looking for an immersive experience, this might not be your favorite game, but if you come to the Edison Room for the puzzles and interactions, you’ll experience one of the greatest games in the country. Worth traveling for this game.
