Great theming for this room. Very large setting and it was very well done with some great sound effects and vfx. This definitely stepped up the immersion. Fun intro and definitely got your blood pumping. Some puzzles were very fun and well themed. We had to break out and rescue a girl out of the asylum. It is supposed to be a horror room and it did not have the overall scary vibe we were expecting based on the hype. There were a few clues that required a bit more lighting and involved colors and that stopped us up for a few minutes. Some issues with communication with GM. Could be because they switched halfway through the room. Not sure if that is something that is usually done. Timer started before our audio finished so we lost a few minutes there. We did finish all the puzzles however there was a lot going on with this room that left a sour taste for on the experience. Still a nice room!!

Overall ‘The Asylum’ was our team’s favorite game at 13th Gate Escape. We loved the size, rooms movement, and creative horrors of this gameplay. Another great creation from 13th Gate Escape!

Under normal circumstances we would have gotten out in time - it’s just that the kids were screaming through most of it. Puzzles are very good.

This was easily the best of all of the rooms at 13th Gate Escape and it’s because they finally have amazing sets mixed with great puzzles. This is a scary room! The fear is real and there aren’t even live actors but you always wonder “what if?” The implementation of how to receive clues is by far the best for this room and like all of their rooms it is big! If you want to get scared, but walk out saying wow that was cool! This is a great room. Most of the rooms are very disappointing except for their top-tier unbeatable jaw dropping set designs. Escape rooms are more than just sets though.

Absolutely stellar room, may be my favorite here.

Really enjoyed this room. It’s not scary at all, but it was fun soaking up every room. This was the best asylum we ever played

Creepy, mild horror in an old asylum. Lots to do, with a linear puzzle flow and a mix of puzzle types. The set is stellar and difficulty well-calibrated for intermediate to experienced players. Our GM was friendly and gave just the right amount of help. Loved this room.

I loved the atmosphere of this room and the puzzles were great. Very spooky and lots of scary things. We had some issues with some broken puzzles and the clue system had problems but if they have those fixed on your room it will be great.

This room was truly immersive, with great storytelling, amazing set design, and added bonuses of a great soundscape and even smelled like an old asylum. My experience was tempered by the fact that several puzzles got stuck for us and did not function as intended, resulting in us ultimately not escaping in time. WARNING! There are jump scares in this game. Accessibility notes: This room includes reaching high. One person must crawl. Some puzzles will be difficult for those with impaired vision, impaired hearing, or color blindness. This room is mobility aid friendly.
