41 escape rooms
Smuggler's Run meets escape room and they made a great escape. Not only has Wild Goose continued to amaze me with each new room I play from them, but I think this might be my favorite yet. The attention to detail and the depth of the build is phenomenal, so much so that I was continually impressed as we found more and more props. We did have a few blips in our play, with suggestions given to the crew as we played during a beta test, but the room still flowed incredibly well. I appreciated that a lot of the puzzling was repetitive tasking as you unlocked more portions of the room. The room is best played with at least two players, but wear sneakers if it's a crew of two because you'll be hustling around that ship.
More novel a concept than a lot of escapes I've played
Set build was amazing, props were well done and very thought out.
GM's at Wild Goose are always so friendly and fun to be with.
Yes
More immersive set than I've seen for a similar concept, and better puzzling.
Heavily reminded me of being able to actually play Smuggler's Run on Batuu.
Hard
Medium-hard in my book but if you crack the game flow it falls into medium.
Mechanical
I'd call the game more mechanical than high tech, but not many physical locks which was really refreshing.
4
Playable with 2 but ideal for 4-5, anymore and you might be a bit too crowded in the space.
Not scary
Not scary or spooky

Well suited for younger players, but will pose a good level of challenge to them.
Yes
Played during a beta test so take with a grain of salt: one locked cabinet wasn't actually locked, we found some of the display portions to be wonky, spoke with the GM after the game and gave some suggestions.
No
No live actors but the GM is much more involved in the storyline than some other rooms I've played.
Somewhat
Categorizing as "somewhat" due to playing as a team of 2. Lots of moving about between rooms to accomplish tasks. Did need to be on the floor at one time.
Space has good clearance in certain areas, with some areas being tighter clearance.
Yes
Wild Goose has great signage out on the street (sandwich boards) to help direct you to the right spot.
Easy
Large lot right out front with plenty of street options around as well. WARNING: Double check if you need to pay for the lot during your visit. It is at times a pay for lot.

As an avid hater of Space themed rooms - I enjoyed this game. Starship achieves beyond your standard chaotic button pushing space game to bring to you more of an interactive space simulator adventure. You’re going to love this game if you enjoy video games but it’s a video game brought to life, so you will still experience a very much hands on adventure. There are still puzzles and physical tasks to complete so the virtual events of the room don’t overpower the puzzles of the game. If you approach this game as a crew (as you should any escape room) your adventure will be enhanced as you work together to achieve you goals. There are small breaks in the game to listen to storyline and mission breakdowns. Relax and listen. It makes the adventure that much more immersive. We played with 3 and had a great time. I think 4 is a good max on this, especially if you are seasoned veterans.

Did the game during the Beta tests! Fun! Different than anything they have at this location.
Non-linear (a couple things to do at a time)
Cool set design in the space they have!

Amazing game design! Most of my team was on a video-game like track- while I handled a lot of the find and solve elements. Something for everyone!

This…was an awesome room! The first time I’ve seen a room that does an amazing job of being a video game (running off unreal engine!) with interactive and fun puzzles that compliment it. There’s something for everyone to do in this room so I feel like it’s great for a group of 4-6. It also brings a good amount of challenge with a lot of fun stressful moments that lead your team to needing to communicate pretty well. This room definitely overall pushes the boundaries forward in the realm of possibilities for innovation in the industry… if you love video games definitely go play this when you get the chance!

This was probably the best high tech room that we have done. It was a blend of video game and escape room and for my friends and I it was a great time. We were fully immersed in the room and I would highly recommend you do too if you do this room.
Really fun and interactive room! We are a bunch of gamers so it was a good blend between video game and escape room.
As soon as the door opened we were impressed by the set. They did a fantastic job
Everyone was so nice and welcoming and took their time to explain the room after we finished!

It’s at DTF (Downtown Fullerton) and there is a parking lot but when the bars are open it can be a challenge to find parking. There is some street parking and there is a parking structure nearby where you can park and walk.
