61 escape rooms
This was a fun room. This was my 61st game (55w - 6L) and I played with three other adults with similar statistics. We had 16:32 remaining but required a couple of hints (which is rare for us). I think the room is mostly linear (although we did solve one puzzle, accidentally, out of sequence) and mechanical (lots of combination locks). Everything in the room was in working condition and the room was well decorated and in theme.
Gameplay
We had a fun time. The theme and puzzles were not particularly novel, but we had a good time. The puzzles flowed well and were mostly logical (we were a bit stumped on one of the first tasks).
Atmosphere
The room was well decorated and everything was in theme.
Customer service
Our GM (Matt?) was very nice and respected our request for no hints unless we asked for them.
Particularly interesting or different
Yes
It was a fun room.
Story
The plot carried through to each task well.
Difficulty
Medium
With 61 games played (55w - 6L), I would say this was on the hard side of medium. We needed a few hints, which is unusual for us.
Game tech
Mechanical
There are a few tech aspects, but the room is primarily combination locks (which we like).
Ideal number of players
4
We played with a team of four adults and it was a good number. The room is large enough for a larger group though.
Scary
Not scary
Our team will not play scary rooms.
Minimum age
8
I listed 8 years old as a minimum age only based on the typical attention span of an 8 year old. But if you have a younger enthusiast, certainly include them. The room is child-friendly.
Was anything broken?
No
Everything was in great condition.
Live actors
No
My team will not play rooms with live actors.
Physically active
Somewhat
Lots of scurrying around but nothing strenuous. Most of the combination locks are on the ground, so stooping is required.
Accessibility
You could probably fit a wheel chair in the room. Vision and color vision is required.
Easy to find location
Yes
Parking
Medium
There is pay parking under the building. I think it was $2 after the first free hour.
Safety
Yes
