I would consider this room to be more oriented towards enthusiasts than beginners, just because of the sheer number of puzzles. We had a group of 7, 6 enthusiasts and 1 beginner, which definitely helped with the time elapsed. We were able to work on multiple puzzles at once. I reserve the βheartβ rating to escape rooms that have a strong storyline and this room definitely delivered. It felt like you were walking into the middle of a murder mystery investigation. If you like story-based rooms and rooms that lean more into puzzles, you have to play this room!

This room was amazing! It was creative, had engaging and difficult puzzles, and was a great mix of spooky and interesting. The staff were fantastic, they created a fun atmosphere, and were extremely helpful when we needed assistance.

Between π and β€οΈ but rounded up based on the strength & number of puzzles, overall production value, and tech that all worked. We played as a team of 3 experienced enthusiasts and got out with just 5:40 left, so you know it was a good room. We also did Clarkβs Crazy Christmas last year in this same space, and agree that this is a new room worth doing even though the space feels familiar and a couple of puzzles were similar. Overall, the the storyline is completely different and the vast majority of puzzles were new.

Immersive, challenging, very story-drivenβ¦whatβs not to like? This is one of the best rooms weβve done in terms of having a great story, atmosphere, and lots of puzzles. There was a good variety of puzzles and a good flow, with the puzzles connecting to and moving the story forward. Was told that this was their hardest room - I would say it would probably be hard for a team of beginners to escape, so better for experienced escapers.
Emmanuel was friendly and helpful!

This room made you think. It had a fun and well done concept. This room does have some moments of darkness that are connected to the storyline. This game is story driven.
Our GM Jaime was so nice. We were welcomed and made to feel very well prepared and comfortable asking for help if needed.

Wonderful narrative escape room experience. Just like solving a real case step by step. Puzzles are logically designed and flows naturally, no strange or exceptionally hard ones. If you like story-based escape rooms too definitely have a try on this

A true immersive experience
This is one of the best story lines Iβve experienced in all escape rooms played

We played as group of 2, escaped in the last minute. And their leaderboard implies itβs a very hard room.

Great room thatβs very story driven! Definitely a room more geared for enthusiasts than beginners! We had 3 people two enthusiasts and one person new to escape rooms. We finished with 2 seconds ! Take that as you will π

Ink & Ashes is a very strong, narrative-driven experience. One thing this room does very well is story. Rarely does an escape room tell a story in such a creative way. The game allowed us to split up and solve, and come back together to experience each chapter together. Each puzzle was unique, thematically appropriate and worked perfectly. A rare gem in the sizable Southern California market. I canβt wait to see what Exodus puts out next.
Puzzle were in theme, everything made sense and flowed well
The narration and story tied everything together!

What an amazing and enjoyable experience! Great story telling and plenty of puzzles to solve for your group! Definitely a must do for new players and especially experienced players. If this is not on your list, put it in MEOW! Looking forward to playing there other rooms!
Puzzles flows very smoothly with each other.
Very immersive, you are able to follow the story from beginning to end.
Awesome GM from beginning to end! He helped us when asked and was able to talk to him about other fun escape rooms to try.

Very easy to follow along and made sense with the puzzles we were trying to solve.
Hard
Somewhat difficult, our group of experienced players had a hard time figuring out certain puzzles and there are a decent amount of puzzles to solve.

Fantastic room. We were over by 2 mins but we loved the room. Did this with a group of 3. Tons of puzzles and Jamie was great. One of our favorite rooms.
