Magnifico

I have never spent so long writing a review for a game and couldn't work out why I couldn't find the words to do so and then it hit me; this is so much more than just a game. From the moment the experience starts you are truly transported into a world that exists outside of the mundane one you've left behind. The interactions between yourself and the characters and between themselves build a universe that you are truly a part of; you're not an observer, you are a fundamental part of their world. Obviously I won't give details, but the narrative is the richest I've experienced in an escape experience and the delivery of this was nothing short of expertly done. The characters were believable, endearing and powerful. You're possibly thinking, "why haven't you mentioned puzzles yet?! Is this just immersive theatre masquerading as an Escape Room?" In short, the puzzles are clever, varied, interesting and in-keeping with what is happening all the way through the experience. So... What are the negatives? I can think of just one. I can never experience this for the first time again and that genuinely makes me sad. There's a reason this has been voted as the #1 escape room in the world. I don't, for one second, regret the 14-hour round trip to play this game - I just worry that nothing else will ever be able to top it....

This room was absolutely amazing and far beyond our expectations even after knowing it was ranked the best in the world. Now we know why. From start to finish you were immersed in the world of Magnifico and it was so fun. The puzzles were great but the game masters who interacted with you make it all the better. This worth doing no matter where you are traveling from. Add this to your must do list.

I understand why Magnifico is #1. The owner is passionate and kind. The actors did a great job. The story was easily understood & interesting. I appreciate that there was character development. Every scene offered something. The aesthetics were beautiful. The music gave me goosebumps and moved me. It didn’t feel like just an escape game… It felt like more…

From an immersive theatre standpoint this is a phenomenal 100/100 experience. Loved every second. Go with 4ish people and you won’t regret it. From an escape room standpoint, I was expecting more puzzles for the money/time spent in there. But that is my only very small gripe based on the hype. Granted some of the puzzles were absolutely magical and the most “in theme” I’ve seen an escape room be. If you go with “just embrace the experience and fun” in mind, this is something that can’t be missed.

Completely immersive. Live actors were impressive. It was more of a theatrical performance with the puzzles thrown in. 2.5 hours and quite expensive

This room is my favourite so far! Absolutely mind blowing! So many rooms, the puzzles were not hard at all (which is a good thing) the acting was great. Very interactive. You can tell they really love what they do, a lot of hard work was put into this and it shows. Definitely worth the money

I’m sad to say that nothing will ever compare to this experience. You know coming out of it that it will be the best escape room you’ll do for a long long time. The rest of the world will need to just play catch up. It’s hard to describe how incredible the experience is. I’ll just say it’s beyond the best escape room. It’s the best experience. Better than a theme park, better than a concert, better than theater, the list goes on. I wish so badly that everyone could experience it!
