295 escape rooms
Let me start by saying: when the game masters say that your brains might hurt by the end… they’re not kidding. We played with a group of four and barely made it out with 27 seconds left, so this room definitely delivers on the challenge. This is a very traditional, Gen-1 style room - lots of locks, keys, and puzzles everywhere you look. It’s only two rooms but they’re packed with puzzles on nearly every wall and surface, which made it hard to know where to focus next. We were given a pathway map to help guide us, but in practice it was still confusing, especially since some puzzles couldn’t be started until later rooms anyway. Because of the density of the puzzles, this feels like a room that really benefits from at least 4 active players, and honestly might even work better as a 90-minute experience for some groups given how much there is to do. Overall, this was one of my favorite rooms at Boggled because I love heavily puzzle-focused classic lock-and-key escape rooms. It was right up my alley, even though I was lost for the first five minutes of my experience trying to figure out what I signed up for in the first place. It was so much fun and I hope others enjoy the sheer volume of puzzles - though it could feel overwhelming at times.
