250 escape rooms
Midnight by OuterGround was the first room of Day 2 of our NL/BL 4-day escape tour 2026 and the 4th game overall. We played as a group of 5 and had a great time. Two people in our team aren’t particularly fond of scary experiences, but they were completely fine with how this one was executed, it creates tension without pushing things too far. This room is clearly made with care and attention to detail, especially in its theming around cinema and going to the movies. As someone who loves films, I might be slightly biased, but the amount of small references and atmosphere tied to movie culture was fantastic. The puzzles lean toward the easier side, which makes sense given the tension-driven nature of the experience. The focus is more on immersion than complexity. The acting was sharp and well timed, and the sound and lighting design were outstanding, constantly reinforcing the mood. Recommended for players who don’t mind a bit of tension and atmosphere, but who don’t necessarily want full horror.
