You're trapped in the dark dingy basement of an old house. There are no windows, only a few doors. You hear screaming coming from another room. This is what we like to call a funnel puzzle where you will find numerous items and clues throughout the room. These items all come together to orchestrate your escape. What makes The Basement special? A private, live-actor horror escape through a filthy underground maze of locked boxes, hidden compartments, and grimy discoveries. Split up to search, regroup to connect clues, ideal for larger groups who want intensity and teamwork, not haunted-house chaos. Non-linear and tactile: safes, trap doors, and scattered clues reward teams that communicate. A captive is trapped with you, and needs your group to escape as much as you need them. This experience's live performer: Meet "The Captive" No one knows how long they've been down there. Days blurred into weeks, weeks into something far worse. Taken by Edward and hidden beneath the house, the Captive has been left alone in the dark with only the sound of their own thoughts for company. In The Basement, you find the Captive as someone who wants to get out of the room just as badly as you do. You must trust them, because they are the only one who truly understands how this experience works and how you may be able to escape. They are not there to scare you. They are there to help you.

Best room at the location. Honestly it would be the only room I would recommend doing at this company. As a group of two, we felt very rushed though. I think they need to increase the amount of time just a LITTLE bit. I read a review on another room at this company saying it felt a little corporate-y and that they were trying to push people in and out of rooms to increase revenue. After completing all the rooms at this location, I tend to agree with that person. If you only have time to do one room, this would be the one. But also- there’s other basements 🤣

Very fun. Recommend playing inna smaller group maybe 5 people, just so things don’t become messy/confusing solving different puzzles. otherwise very fun and creepy room. Actor did an amazing job scaring us.

This room was definitely overhyped for me. The puzzles are fairly simple, but the game flow isn’t great. I wouldn’t recommend doing it with more than 4 people. The live actor is basically just there to give clues. And the justification for her knowing things is a little thin. The puzzles don’t make a whole lot of sense in the story and there is more searching for things than solving

The beginning of it all and it sets the tone for the rest of the rooms. The vibes are scary enough but not terrifying and the set resign is gross and grimy and fun! A good set of puzzles to figure out but they flow together well and keep you moving at a great pace

We did both the basement and the study back to back with group of 5. We had a blast and have to give credit to our gamemaster and the live actors here because they are the best we have seen. We have done 40+ rooms so far and haven’t seen puzzles and gameplay quite like this. Would like to come back for courtyard!
