Will you escape Edward's basement? You and your friends have been kidnapped by Edward Tandy -- a cannibalistic serial killer with a fine taste for unique electronics, taxidermy, and of course human flesh. He has created a sick and twisted game of sorts in his deceased mother's home. He hopes to weed out the unintelligent and find those who are "worthy of escaping" by his late mother's standards. In THE BASEMENT, you and your team will have to employ keen communication skills, a finely tuned organizational prowess, and a general ability to keep your $h!t together under pressure if you want to survive. This is what we like to call a "funnel puzzle" where you will find numerous items and clues throughout the room. These items all come together to orchestrate your escape.

It’s a chill room. Set design is what you’d expect being in a serial killer basement. Some cool parts but the more I think about it. The puzzles just weren’t fun. I wasn’t like “whoa” that was a cool puzzle. It was an ok room. The room is more neutral overall for me.

A very creepy atmosphere, great live actor, but limited time. You feel those 45 minutes versus an hour. LOOK EVERYWHERE!

This room has potential but is designed like a funnel so you don’t really solve anything unless you solve everything which does not allow for any moments of success unless you escape. Reschedules are not allowed and the rooms are public so we played with other people who had never played before and made it very difficult to play the game. The ambiance and actors are great but that’s pretty much it.

Really fun room. Didn’t enjoy doing it with a bunch of strangers but it’s a fun, creepy storyline and there was enough puzzles for everyone to be working on something

One of the most atmospheric rooms I played. However puzzle design is not my favorite, and had a strong element of scavenge rather than skill. It’s fine enough, and the set design is worth the look, even if the fun factor wasn’t that high
