The year was 1984. Allan and Ann Garrett and their son, Matthew, disappeared without a trace. Now, nearly four decades later, the family is still missing and the case has gone cold. You must enter their old abandoned house, search for clues, and hopefully unravel the mystery to; Whatever happened to the Garretts?

Sophia made the experience really fun. I'm purposely not going to be too descriptive, but I'm seeing that other people have mentioned the 80's, so I'll just say, this escape room TOTALLY transported me to the 80's. The story and the environment was next-level. And we encountered some INTERACTIVE puzzles that were unlike anything we've seen in other escape rooms.

This was a cool room, especially if you’re keening for some period nostalgia. I didn’t actually like it as much as Maze Rooms’ Avalanche, with which it has some similarities, but it definitely has its own fun twists and turns.

The set design for this one is beyond cool. The use of household appliances of yesteryear immediately immerses you in the 80’s as they intended. It felt like neither the puzzles nor setting took precedent over the other because they melded so well together. The last puzzle, as usual, gave me and my friend a run for our money but we pulled through in the end with no clues. Though the ending wasn’t a great “surprise” for me, it was satisfactory for the room as a whole.

This was the best escape room we've ever done. With a few hints from the GMs, we dove into the world of the Garretts and tracked them down. Really nice props and puzzles. Nostalgic for the dads and humorous to see the things the kids didn't know about life in the 80s.

This was by far the best escape room we have ever played. From gameplay to set design to it just never ending. Ticks off everything on my list of what an escape room should be and beyond.

Amazing. Loved the set and it just never ended. When you thought it was over it kept going which I loved. I 100% would go back to this location to do the final game and other locations of theirs.

Maze rooms has always entertained me. Their rooms always seem to find ways to subvert expectations. The puzzles in this one grow organically out of the 80’s theme and will delight those that were kids during that decade. The puzzles use basic escape room logic but are presented in a fun and engaging way. Like most Maze rooms I’ve experienced they can seem a little rough around the edges but still shine brightly and have a great payoff in the end. Garrett’s does a great job in creating an immersive environment, moving the story along, and creating a story climax that truly makes the experience feel like a lived adventure.

What Happened to Garrett" is a standout escape room, highly recommended for its engaging storyline, logical puzzles, and an impressive 3D experience. The puzzles are intuitive and contribute to the story, ensuring participants are both challenged and captivated. The 3D aspect significantly enhances immersion, making it a memorable adventure for both newcomers and enthusiasts alike.

One of my favorite escape rooms. Definitely interesting puzzles. It's not scary. The puzzles are very creative. Highly suggest trying this out!
