This is not a game anymore... this is something different. You've somehow foiled Edward Tandy and escaped The Basement in Chapter 1. You've managed to make it out once again after Edward and his assistant placed your sleeping body in The Elevator Shaft in Chapter 2. In Chapter 3, things have changed and you're treading on turf that Edward never expected you to gain access to. You've made it into his Study. In The Study, you and your team have made your way into the upper quarters of the Tandy family home. He Is VERY unhappy that you have encroached on his personal space and he plans to make you pay dearly for this mistake. In Chapter 3, you will find out more than you ever hoped about our matriarch obsessed serial killer. With event and theatrical puzzles, your level of interaction will need to take a step up in order to see the light of day ever again.

The Study was condensed but packed a lot for a horror room with actor included. This was my first room involving an actor and it was certainly a trip. They utilized the actor as a big part of a major puzzle which was very cool. The one part my group of 4 got stumped on was just a matter of not looking hard enough at specific objects - besides that the puzzles were entertaining to solve and just hard enough. Set design is something Basement nails every time and I have no qualms there.

This is such a great room! This has to be one of my favorites from the company itself. There are such clever puzzles and even cooler areas.

I recently had the thrill of tackling The Study Basement escape room, and it was an unforgettable experience! The room strikes the perfect balance between being scary enough to keep you on edge but not so terrifying that you can't focus on solving the puzzles. One of the standout features of this escape room is the presence of a live actor. The actor skillfully guides you in the right direction when needed, providing hints without giving away too much. This adds a dynamic and interactive element to the game that keeps you engaged and makes the experience even more immersive. The puzzles are challenging and well-designed, making escaping a real accomplishment. It’s not easy, but the difficulty level makes it all the more fun and rewarding. The atmosphere is intense, but the thrill of solving each puzzle and progressing through the room keeps the excitement levels high. Overall, The Study Basement is a must-visit escape room. It’s thrilling, challenging, and incredibly fun. If you’re up for a heart-pounding adventure with clever puzzles and great production, this is the escape room for you!

Had some elements we never experience before! Great job with the actor and was very fun and active for your group of 4!

The puzzles were the most interesting out of the 3 rooms my group has done for the basement. This one felt the most rewarding of the three in terms of solving the puzzles. Live actor did a great job as well.

All the chapters were so much fun, so scary, so stimulating, and so realistic.

Although less high-tech than Elevator Shaft, the Study features a good chunk of puzzling and a really well-implemented actor that contributes to both the lore and the ambiance really quite well. I wish the final puzzle offered a little more after the last two had great “finale” puzzles.
