This is not a game anymore... this is something different. You've somehow foiled Edward Tandy and escaped The Basement in Chapter 1. You've managed to make it out once again after Edward and his assistant placed your sleeping body in The Elevator Shaft in Chapter 2. In Chapter 3, things have changed and you're treading on turf that Edward never expected you to gain access to. You've made it into his Study. In The Study, you and your team have made your way into the upper quarters of the Tandy family home. He Is VERY unhappy that you have encroached on his personal space and he plans to make you pay dearly for this mistake. In Chapter 3, you will find out more than you ever hoped about our matriarch obsessed serial killer. With event and theatrical puzzles, your level of interaction will need to take a step up in order to see the light of day ever again.

Love this room. Atmosphere and puzzles were amazing. Live actor was cool but not very interactive. Very creative

We have done all four Basement rooms with two players. All the rooms are impressively designed and worth doing, but the Study and the Basement were our favorites. Our actor was excellent in character and there were a couple interactions and surprises in the room that made us laugh. We struggled with the last puzzle but finished with a minute or two to spare.

I know Iβm an outlier with my rating/review, but I still want to leave it. I enjoyed The Basement, was wowβd by Elevator Shaft and amazed by Courtyard, but I canβt stand this room. From the start your group will most likely be trying to solve the wrong puzzle because that puzzle is obvious and the real first puzzle is almost random in its expectations. So that wastes your already limited 45 minutes. Hints arenβt necessary limited, but they choose when to give them to you. You canβt wave your collective hands and get one when you want it, so also wasting limited time. People rave about the actor interaction, but we did the room during COVID protocols, so I will give them the benefit of the doubt and believe itβs better when you arenβt required to stay 6 feet away. Lastly there are puzzles that I wonβt go into details about, but they go against current escape room norms. Which I would say makes them unique and fun, but when youβre already down on time I feel like they were designed to waste your time and make you fail the room. Run rooms 1, 2 and 4 for sure, but if you need to skip one, skip this one. If you do run this one, be prepared for some frustration.

A fantastic room with twists and turns that it has a genuinely spooky atmosphere and feels like youβre inside of a horror movie. Fantastic use of an an in room actor as well, which is often hard to accomplish.

I enjoyed the room, the actor was great. However you lose a lot of time waiting on the actor to finish the hints. Our group would have escaped as we were on the last puzzle but ran out of time. That time lost waiting on hints would have got us out.
