So you finally made it out of the house... but was it a better idea to stay indoors? After escaping The Study, and running downstairs, you find yourself in the mudroom of the Tandy home. One more door stands between you and your freedom, right? Wrong. Once outside, you find yourself in Edward's cold and dark courtyard surrounded by a 14-foot tall wooden fence. Edward's daughter Lilly once resided in the trailer in the Courtyard, but she's long gone. Painfully, she was forced to leave someone she loved behind. Will you be able to save Lilly's lover Quinn, or will the officer perish while you try and escape? The Courtyard is by far our most ambitious room to date. Like, Chapter 1: The Basement, The Courtyard is a non-linear funnel puzzle with multiple paths that must be traversed by different members of the group.

I love this whole series of The Basement from end to end and the finish was just great. The set design was fantastic and the puzzles were super fun to work through. We did get a little stuck a couple times but Partly that’s just because the room is relatively big and there were only three of us and at least one is doesn’t usually do escape rooms. Even with all that, we managed to squeak out with very little time to spare. I would def recommend doing this whole series from the beginning. It was so fun!

This was my very first escape room ever. We were very warmly welcomed and immediately put into the spooky atmosphere of this building. As soon as we got into the room, we were all immersed. Game master was great. The room itself is great. I genuinely thought i was outside at some point, and every part of the room was really executed. We unfortunately didn’t make it out. I’d say the puzzles were pretty hard, there’s only 20% of people who escape. We weren’t part of those 20% lol. We were almost done but ran out of time. Live actor was great, she held her role perfectly ! Would recommend this escape room to intermediate groups.

The last chapter of the basement was a great way to end it. After completing this chapter, the experience really felt complete. The puzzles in this one really were integrated well into the environment and felt like we were escaping! That's one common theme that is fantastic with all chapters of the basement.

The Courtyard was quite difficult. I did this room 2 times. We didn’t finish the first time and escaped the last time. I’d highly recommend it. The puzzles and flow of the room was intricate but immersive. This might be my favorite escape room ever.

The Courtyard escape room offers an experience full of unexpected twists and turns. The clues can be quite challenging, but that only adds to the excitement. We had such a blast that we came back for a second try after not escaping the first time. It's a challenging room, but incredibly fun and rewarding. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique and thrilling escape room adventure!

Two major tech issues that really affected the experience in a bad way. Want to go back and redo it someday.

An absolutely fantastic finale for The Basement. A wildly immersive (and pretty big!) set hiding less in terms of surprises but a lot more in terms of content. One of my favorite parts was how they made the story be a bit more in the forefront; the actor plays into this well. Definitely one of the harder and more involved puzzle, two is probably not enough for this one.

The Basement outdid themselves with this room! You really feel that you're outdoors! Fun puzzles and the whole group of 4 stayed busy! Only downside is this is the last of the chapters!

The best set design I think out of all 3 rooms we’ve done and the actor did a phenomenal job. Really felt like we were at the precipice of escaping the final room of the basement. Not as great puzzles as the study, but the technology used felt more intricate.

This room was really disappointing and so lack lustre. This is supposed to be considered the BEST escape room in LA but unfortunately it did not live up to the hype. I’m fairly sure the reviews have to be fake because there is no way this “escape room” if you can even call it that is legit. Don’t get me wrong the set is amazing but the game itself SUCKS. In every room the puzzles are very basic, and you only have 45 min to get through these rooms (and NO HINTS) which is not enough time for even fast players. Also there’s really only 2 rooms and a trailer on the set as the “third room”. The LIVE actor takes up quite a lot of time talking instead of getting to the point. We just felt so sad leaving having drove quite far to 1. Not even escape and 2. Have such a disappointing experience. The staff also ask you to tip as you’re leaving which makes the experience incredibly awkward. I would not recommend going here. You’re better off booking a room with maze rooms or quest rooms. This whole place just feels like a scam to take your money and give you a lack lustre escape room under the guise of being “the best escape room in LA”
“It really feels like you're outside!“
