You’ve really done it this time… on a brief visit to cuba, you got messed up with the wrong crowd. It seems the guard has been called to pick up some other miscreants, so you have 60 minutes to make a run for it! The only problem…you’re locked in a cell!! Search for clues, unlock the cell, and escape the room!

Be warned - you may be left in the room locked behind bars with no way of getting out, as they are allowed to operate with only 1 person working multiple rooms at a time. (How is this even legal?) (they take your cell phone before you go in the room too…). Our guy was super unfriendly from the beginning - not sure if he was hungover or what. But there was no enthusiasm, no sense of fun. And this is the first room we’ve done (we’ve done more than 20 & are huge fans) where you are physically locked in the room - most rooms you’re able to leave if necessary. Thank god we didn’t put the handcuffs on all the way. Our host left us in the room without any communication for more than 5mins as he tended to other guests in other rooms. We couldn’t progress because the key to get out of the cell failed to attach properly to a magnet, so fell to the ground and was completely out of reach and required him to come in and get it for us. I went into a panic and my son was also too upset to continue once he finally came back in, got us the key/ we could get out. He was completely unapologetic or sympathetic. Aside from poor escape room etiquette - we’ve never had to wait for more than a min for a host to communicate with us - and there was no way we could get this key without him coming into the room - it’s just setting folks up for trauma by leaving them locked in a room without any contact with the host. This place should be shut down. The members of my party that stayed it out said the rest of the clues either didn’t work or were too hard to complete, and the guy went mia again so they were stuck without hints while minutes just ticked off the clock. Nothing at all redeeming about this place. Go do anything else in key west but visit this place.
Gameplay
It was not fun at all. We’ve done 20+ rooms and this was the worst by far.
Atmosphere
Room was filthy, dark, some candles didn’t work, puzzles that involved magnets were weak and didn’t work.

The host was horrible - unfriendly, unprofessional & unsafe.

Difficult but not in a good way. Puzzles just didn’t make sense or didn’t work, or were tedious, required intervention from the host. Also not being able to see makes it difficult but again, not in a fun way.

Great room, really enjoyed the Cuban culture that was influenced in the room. Lots of tedious task to complete, but had a great flow. You are forced to communicate efficiently with your partner. My wife and I completed with 14 minute to spare. Our game masters was great, extremely professional and knowledgeable.
