19 escape rooms
I would say the room overall was slightly above average. Like, overall maybe like a 6.5. Some of the things weren’t working as intended and we needed assistance from the GM with one of the locks. It’s a gen 1 room, so things were a little more basic, but still had a good design and was immersive. The story made more sense for people who did the previous rooms, but we still got a good idea from the backstory given. No live actors, and scary enough for the setting we were in, nothing overwhelming for us at least.
It was very interesting. Flow was not super well made, but still had enough of an idea to know where to go for the next puzzle. Had to ask a few times on some puzzles, but that’s because things weren’t working fully, GM had to come in to help with one lock. Not very linear because you got clues early sometimes.
Atmosphere was good. Did a good job with props. Slightly overwhelming with how many, but still great for the room. No fancy effects, but still did the job without it. Some things were slightly broken, but it was a Gen 1 room, so things will typically be older.
GM was nice and welcoming when we came in.
So, we’re definitely not the best people to trust for this because part 4 was the first room we did for this series. However, we still understood enough of what was was explained for parts 1-3. Would probably make a lot more sense on the reason for the ending if we did the first 3 rooms.
Medium
Says it’s medium, but I think it’s like medium-hard, not exactly hard. Took us longer because some of the puzzles weren’t working as expected.
Mechanical
Mainly locks with keys and number dials. No sensors or sounds.
3
It’s a smaller space, so a smaller team may be more beneficial.
Spooky
16
I’d probably say it’s a room for people who aren’t very sensitive to a morgue setting. You will see elements of what would be in one, so really depends on the person.
Yes
There was an older directional lock that didn’t take input well. Some of the other locks didn’t open well. GM had to come in and unlock one with us.
No
Somewhat
There is color involved, but can easily be worked because it’s not intensive.
