Palace Games has discovered another secret inner-sanctum within the walls of the Palace of Fine Arts. This mysterious attraction premiered at San Francisco's World’s Fair in 1915, but was then immediately condemned for reasons unknown. After an arduous restoration effort, Palace Games reopened this secret marvel of the 1915 fair. We've yet to uncover its odd purpose. Are you bold enough to solve the mind-bending mystery of The Attraction?

This game was a strange mash up of very different rooms, some better than others. There is no “time limit”, they tell you just to expect about a two hour game. Like Edison, there were puzzles that had to be done over an over. One particular puzzle has to be done 9 times. And honestly, none of us really understood the solution to that one. There were some very neat elements to this game and some puzzles that we found fun and clever, but there was also a lot of extra stuff that could have been left out, imo. Between this game and Edison, choose The Attraction.

Took a work group (total of 6 people), several of whom had never played an escape room before. We had an incredible time. All of the Palace Games rooms are world-class, but this game is so innovative and immersive as to defy description. Just go play it. One of my all-time favorites.

Definitely different from most escape experiences. Puzzles didn’t feel like the main focus, which was a little bit of a disappointment. The puzzles themselves weren’t difficult either. Theming was immersive and technology super impressive, but overall not my favorite room. Multiple people got motion sick, wish there had been warning beforehand.

While visiting the Bay Area we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to try Palace Games! I’ve heard it is one of the best rooms in the US, so I went in with big expectations. The tech was amazing and unique. The game play was okay - good, but not “best in the country” good. Overall it was definitely a fun way to spend the afternoon on vacation! Make sure you explore the Palace of the Fine Arts before/after your game too, because it is gorgeous!

Wow! So many unique puzzles and mechanics!

This was my first Palace Games escape room and wow, the production value is so high! “The Attraction” had a really fun storyline and no time limit, so you can slow down and really enjoy the story elements as they play out. The puzzles were easy-medium and a lot of fun to solve in a group. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a cool experience to try!

This escape room was tons of fun and all the puzzles were immersive! The puzzles are on the easier side but there was a lot of variety. This room did feel like it was more about the experience than the puzzles.
Super high production value and special effects.
The GM was really friendly and welcoming! They didn’t really need to hint because there was a built-in hinting system, so we didn’t interact with them too much.
Yes
This game was interesting because there was no time limit, which allowed us to lean into the storyline. The puzzles were all very high tech and cool.
The plot was really memorable and all the special effects and puzzles were pretty well integrated. The story itself was a little weird and thought-provoking — you’ll see if you try it.
Easy
We had a group of 5 relatively experienced puzzlers, so the puzzles were on the easier side. Some of them did fall in the medium-hard side though. This room should be accessible for beginners, especially without the threat of a time limit looming over you. However, the high production value might spoil you for future escape rooms.

Any number of players would be fine. There is a linear progression of puzzles, so perhaps 4 people might be a sweet spot in terms of having enough puzzles for everyone. However, this room does cost less per person the more people you have. Having more people will still result in a very fun experience!

Yes
It was a little difficult to find the entrance, so be sure to give yourself plenty of time to park and find the door.

There was a parking lot next to the palace, but you’ll need to walk a bit to find the actual entrance. They should have a sign to make it easier.

Great sets, great tech, great story! Weird game. Certainly not for everyone. This was a more story driven experiential game than most. Felt a little like you were being driven through the game rather than driving. (Though pet of that was that I was with a team of 5 really good solvers when I am used to doing most rooms with just 2, so there was a lot less for me to solve myself. ) The pop culture references were an area of disagreement among my team. Some liked them, I found them out of place, and immersion-breaking. I highly recommended everyone play this game, but not until you have maybe 20 escape rooms under your belt. Be familiar with the escape room “rules” before you can enjoy how this game breaks them.

Played a lot of escape rooms and some more “experience oriented” rooms. Overall I was quite disappointed. Though the set design and technology was amazing, it felt very tasky and there were a few apparently arbitrary puzzles. The group finished in good time but after finishing there was a really embarrassed silence leaving the building. It didn’t feel playful. It didn’t feel like we had any agency. And the story telling just went on and on. It just felt tedious despite all of the fun window dressing like sets, pop culture references and so on.

Beautiful game with so much amazing tech! Love the puzzles and the theme. It’s like a Disney ride but it’s an escape room! Palace Games keeps killing it and are in a league of their own. Recommend four or more for this one.
