October 31st 1926 – Harry Houdini has died. Famous for his skepticism of self-proclaimed “mystics” Houdini was famous for taking part in seances in order to debunk these charlatans. Clue Chase Labs believes that Houdini was holding these events in order to search for the only real source of mystic power in this world – The Artifact. With his passing we must ensure that any research or discoveries he made during his time on earth do not fall into the wrong hands. You have one hour to search his workshop for anything concerning the artifact. Good luck.

I love this place so much! From the moment you walk out of the elevator, you’re in a spooky yet incredibly cozy lounge and greated by some of the nice people I’ve ever met. Now, I’ve played a few Houdini-Themed rooms and this one blows the other ones out of the water! Puzzles were super clever and had unique props that made the room special. Huge kudos to Gus and Monica for making our experience so great that we decided to book another 2 for the next day right before we leave NYC.
The puzzles were super intuitive and really clever.
I love the vibe of this place!

It’s in Korea town so there’s no parking, however there’s easily accessible transportation pretty close!

Really fun room. High volume of puzzles but none were too difficult. A nifty magic puzzle at the end. Great GM who was enthusiastic and clearly wanted us to have a good time.
Gameplay flowed well and it was always clear where to go next. There was some nifty magic towards the end.

Walking out of the elevator, I was immediately impressed with the hallway and lobby. A lot of time and care has been put into comfort, spaciousness, and ambience. All the GMs we spoke with were also very enthusiastic and accommodating! What I loved most about this room were the unique clue mechanisms and associated props. Given the Houdini theme, there are plenty of locks throughout, but it’s not always keys you’re looking for. It’s a great variety of puzzle types, and many of them are multi-layered in pretty ingenious ways. Nothing felt unfair, with some great a-ha moments and surprises. I really liked this room (and company) a lot!

Though some of the clue reveals make loud sounds, so there are perhaps unintentional jump scares

Not broken per se, but there are times where you have to identify colors, and those colors may be faded and/or difficult to identify in the light

My favorite room of all time. Stumbled in here from across the street of a different escape room. It was so much fun and exciting!

Absolutely gorgeous sets with very interesting puzzle design! I would just recommend bringing a group of at least 4 as me and my partner found ourselves running around a bit. Also definitely try to come in light/athletic clothes as it can get pretty hot in there!
