Houdini's Workshop

Great room, lots of fun, completed with about 5 min left with two people.

A pleasant room to solve: nothing is difficult, but it’s well clued and flows smoothly from start to finish. I played by myself and would not advise a group larger than 3-4 as there isn’t a lot that multiple people can work on. The finale pays off the intro nicely. Nothing spectacular, but not a bad way to spend an hour (well, 40 minutes). My game master was super friendly and clearly an escape room enthusiast herself, which is always great to see. Recommended, although I wouldn’t go out of my way just to play this one room.

Super fun room with a couple good twists. So many locks, but unlike other rooms with a lot of locks, you’re able to figure out what goes with which lock. Great theming and set. Gamemaster Gus was amazing and made the experience extra awesome!

Lots of mechanical locks, but fits the theme. Lighting could be neutral to differentiate colors for one puzzle.

Lots of combination locks with several locks of the same type (three digit, four digit). This lead to us accidentally unlocking the wrong padlock at the wrong time. Not a bad room, but also wouldn’t be a first choice of mine. Major ups to our GM Will who graciously guided our experience.

Very fun and cute charming room! Loved the tricks, especially the grand finale! There are lots of mechanical locks, but they’re clearly labeled so it’s not actually as confusing as it could have been. All of the puzzles were well themed around magicians and their tricks. I was surprised by some of them and wanted to find out how they were done, but a good magician never reveals their secrets!

cute game with a clear storyline. quite linear overall, and no puzzles were the classic escape room “huh???” leaps of logic. a LOT of manual locks, but the puzzles are fun. love the fun they have with illusions, a second iteration could lean into this more. got out with 3 players. AMAZING hosts, very sweet. wished we asked for no clues since we felt we could’ve gotten out without any. recommend if you’re in the my area and want something easy to moderate. will be back!

Very creative and fun room! A lot of lock and key puzzles, some fun interactivity

This room has a ton of puzzles that will keep your group occupied throughout the entire game. It is mostly first generation, lock and key puzzles but it works within the world of Houdini. There’s a fun twist, break in the fourth wall at the end. I’d recommend this room

Fun game, well themed, with unique puzzles. A lot of padlocks but they made sense and you don’t have to worry about wasting time on the wrong lock. Tough for two people at times, but definitely doable.
