The Alchemist was truly a joyful and triumphant room from beginning to end. The buildup, the reveals, the puzzles, everything was just fun and satisfying. And the ending? Might be my single favorite moment in an escape room EVER. The other thing I love is how this room feels like a love letter to escape rooms and enthusiasts. You don’t need to love horror, you don’t need to love a particular kind of puzzle, anyone who loves any kind of escape room can have their heart filled with this room. Please come enjoy it!

WOW!! I have never done anything like this before in my life. You can tell how much effort they put into building this. Our game master was also a joy to be around and talked with us for a bit. I highly recommend anyone to do this room. Fly from wherever you are right now.

Playing The Alchemist feels like stepping into a real-life version of The Room series by Fireproof Studios, blending clever puzzles and complex contraptions for a truly engaging experience. With high-quality production and a unique storyline, it’s a standout game that’s definitely recommended—and a must-play if you’re in Amsterdam!
The puzzles are cleverly designed—challenging enough to engage players without ever leaving them feeling stuck or frustrated, and leaving enough space for all players to work together. Solving them involves interacting with intricate machines and mechanisms that blend into the game’s setting, enhancing the immersion. The tactile experience is particularly satisfying, as there are objects to assemble and use, adding a hands-on element that elevates the gameplay.
The game boasts high-quality set pieces, with one breathtaking centerpiece that truly steals the show. However, the expansive space means that some areas between these highlights can feel a bit sparse, which slightly detracts from the otherwise immersive atmosphere.
The interactions with the Game Master, both before and during the game, were fantastic. Their playful humour added a personal touch that kept us smiling and set a lighthearted tone for the experience.
The story felt original, and with a clear and easy-to-follow mission it set the stage nicely. However, after the initial introduction, there were no twists or additional narrative layers revealed during the game, leaving the story feeling somewhat shallow. A deeper or evolving plot could have added more engagement in the narrative.

Superb attention to details and top quality in general, which is to be expected from Sherlocked. We had some mechanical issues during the experience, though it did not spoil the room too much.

Mechanics stairs and one of the last puzzles that a computer needed to be used. So the puzzle was skipped.

Would have adored this if everything had worked properly! Such a shame as we felt we really didn’t get the full experience that we should have done if everything was working. Our game was delayed while the host tried to fix something, a mechanical element broke mid game when we tried to use it and the host couldn’t fix it, and a digital element broke just before we were due to get to that part of the room, which the host was unable to fix. So we missed out on a couple of puzzles, and the ending didn’t feel quite like it was meant to happen the way it did. That being said, the production design of the room was epic, the use of space again was amazing, and the variety of puzzles was fantastic, and our host was super lovely too and explained everything to us at the end.

An element broke before our game which delayed it, then broke again mid-game so the GM had to come in and try to fix it while we were still solving puzzles, but couldn’t fix it. Another element broke just before we entered that part of the game so the GM had to communicate that we didn’t need to solve that puzzle, which was a shame as it would have been really impressive.

Standout room. Just took my #1 slot of 60+. Must-Do. I saw multiple puzzles for the first time and every puzzle was exquisite. The space and immersion are incredible. I felt like I was in a video game or movie.

This was a cinematic experience, something that left our jaws open and kept us talking for hours afterwards. Probably the best I've been to. The immersive and very, very well made mechanics/props combined with very fluently progressing puzzle and story was a perfect combination for the whole family. Pure wow.

I thought that The Vault would never be beaten and it hadn’t until we revisited Sherlocked. This room was phenomenal, an absolute whirlwind of puzzles, immersion and just us all looking at each other with dropped jaws. If you are in Amsterdam, this is an absolute must. Do not leave until you have visited this room.
