You have been unpacking for a week now as you continue to explore every nook and cranny in your new six-room house. You now understand why the locals were so weary of this house and always avoided it. There are however still some areas you have yet to fully search. One day as you were putting your groceries in the pantry for the first time, you notice a small crease in the wall. You put your hand up to the wall and realize it is actually an indentation. You grab your box cutter that you were just using and poke it right through the gaudy wallpaper that you wanted to replace anyway. You pull the blade across the wall. You hit a hard beam. You turn the blade downward and slice vertically to the floor. As you make the final cut through the wallpaper, the wall opens up and a doorway appears. Before you lies a small six-foot hallway with a door at the end of it. You walk six feet down the hallway to the door and grab the handle. It’s locked. You are glad because you’ve seen enough horror movies to know that you really didn’t want to know what was behind that door. With a sigh of relief, you turn around and walk back towards the kitchen. You take three steps forward, when an icy-cold wind blows right through you, taking the breath out of you. You stop in your tracks. You hear a loud creaking sound behind you. You turn around. The door is open. Again, you’ve seen enough horror movies to know that you shouldn’t so anywhere near that door. But, just as you – the Hardings – were called to this house, you are being called to this doorway. You physically can’t help it. You feel yourself being pulled to the doorway. You find yourself peering down into a dimly-lit basement. Again, you have seen enough horror movies to know that you don’t want to go down those stairs. But, yet again, you are physically pulled by some force down the stairs. The next thing you know you are standing on the cold concrete floor, staring up at the bright light emanating from the only way into and out of the basement. You feel the icy-cold wind again. The door slams shut and locks. The lights go out. You now find yourself trapped in the Seventh Room.

This is a great room to test your fears. Lots of puzzles and scares galore. Ironically we made #7 on the leaderboard for this game. Second leaderboard at this location.

On our trip the bday girl wanted a horror room so we found this. Scared me so bad lol but it was so immersive and good. A lot of great mechanics too.

The other reviews really dulled my expectations, but this room was INCREDIBLE. I don’t usually like scary rooms but this one was immersive and the puzzles were awesome. The GM was awesome, we’ve yet to have a bad experience with them!

Honestly this one was a real blast. I had high hopes for this room, and saved it for my birthday. The flow of the room is fantastic, and the puzzles were fun combined with the tech. Dare 2 Escape really feels like a traditional escape room firing on all cylinders, and I mean that in the best way possible.

The atmosphere was amazing and the reveals in this room are rad. My favorite room at this location. I loved the immersion and attention to detail. Great experience.

This room didn’t meet the hype for me. Too many traditional locks, either finding a key or finding the numbers, symbols, or word to enter into the lock. Some things were broken, as others have mentioned, and there was also a piece that wasn’t reset correctly, allowing us to completely miss a puzzle that should’ve taken probably 10+ more minutes of our time, which also left us confused why we weren’t using some of the things we found. The GM was nice and he kept giving us clues to nudge us along, without us asking. Which was helpful because there were only 2 of us playing and we honestly probably would’ve been stuck on things for a while if we weren’t nudged. Overall, cool enough experience, decent enough set… I’ve definitely seen wayyyyy worse but also seen better. It was immersive, but not the greatest.

This room, while dressed well, reminds me a lot of pre-bought escape experiences. I’m not a big fan of excessive reading but this one is so dense in papers and books. I prefer more tactile, intuitive puzzles that don’t require me to keep my head down looking at a piece of paper, but looking up and around at the room, maintaining the immersion—which is another point dock for me. So many random signs required so puzzles are solvable and play functions properly. Not ideal.

I wanted to love this escape room after hearing so many good things about it. It was a rough experience because a few of the puzzles weren’t working as intended. That caused some frustrations in our group, but the staff was kind and friendly. They took a lot of time talking to us afterwards. The staff is great here. I just wish the puzzles in this room were a bit more reliable and clear.
