You have 60 minutes to find what escobar needs, or your family will die. Can you save them? The year is 1993. You’re a mid-level Sicario working for Pablo Escobar in Medellin, Colombia. You receive news that Escobar is furious—one of his most trusted allies has betrayed him. In his rage, Escobar killed the informer, who happened to be the only one who knows where your boss’s money and fake passport are hidden. The DEA are on their way to the clandestine cocaine lab, and Escobar desperately needs his money and passport to flee the country, and he’s demanded that you find them. If Escobar doesn’t get these things before the DEA arrives, he’s sworn to murder your entire family in revenge. He’ll have no mercy on you, and neither will the DEA.

I like this venue. The game was remarkable in the realism factor.

Unfortunately, I didn’t have a good experience with this room due to a miscommunication with the staff. So, I left with a bad taste in my mouth… that said, I still recognize that it is a quality room. Excellent theme and set design and also quite challenging. There were a couple of puzzles that felt tedious but, all in all, still solid.

A huge room that requires quite a bit of walking around. Some of the clues were placed far away from the puzzles and it felt like we spent a good amount of time just on getting things. The design and the atmosphere was impressive throughout, and we were amazed each time we opened a new door. I wish there was less irrelevant items in the room though, and some of the puzzles were a bit hard to operate.

Great game. Really fun and meant for about 4 people especially experienced. We played early on a Saturday when they lower the price. I would take advantage of this. But besides the price point… this game is fun and surprising lots of twists and turns. They shoot for very “realistic” puzzles and experiences so prepare to get your hands dirty and have a blast!

Very fun. The puzzles were unique and the theming was strong throughout. As others have mentioned, the puzzles were challenging, but made sense

This was one of the hardest rooms I’ve done, requiring a lot of keeping track of threads and paying close attention to detail.

We loved our experience at Wrongfully Committed so much that we immediately booked the other two rooms for the next day. Escobar was the first escape room we’ve done where we felt that the GM was actually what made the room most memorable. The room itself was really cool (high production value, unique puzzles, and immersive environment), but our GM Stan was freakin’ amazing. It was clear that he got a kick out of watching us play the game. He was so observant, it felt like he understood how we worked and was present in the room with us. He cheered us on, joked with us over the intercom, and really just added to the experience. Best GM ever!

Heavily overrated room. Our whole group of enthusiasts agreed. The good news is that the setting and production design are amazing. Top marks for that. The rest of the experience left a lot to be desired. The puzzle flow was..... woof! Puzzles and clues did not connect to each other in any kind of sensical, narrative driven way. We finished one of the early major puzzles completely by accident. Another puzzle, which seemed like a central set-piece to the room, merely resulted in a basic clue for a puzzle we already completed. And don't get me started on the Red Herrings. So. Many. Red. Herrings. And things you accomplished but the room doesn't let you know that you have. Oh, and do you like puzzles where after you solve it, you have to wait 2 minutes to get the result? I'm not kidding, after you solve one centerpiece puzzle, you *literally* have to wait 2 minutes before you get the information from that solution. If there was other stuff you could do during that time, great! But we'd already done everything else, so we were actually just standing around waiting for two minutes. It's a shame that in such an immersively set-designed room, we were left feeling bored and confused most of the time. But that wasn't even the worst part. The worst part is that, in our opinion, our time was cut artificially short by the GM, and we lost the game. With no clock in the room, our time "ran out" right at 3pm on a 2pm reservation, even though the GM started our game at about 2:10. We had arrived a few minutes before our start time. Finished the wavers before our start time. The GM disappeared to finish resetting the room. I used the bathroom. After, we were still waiting on the GM to finish resetting. Finally, about 10 minutes after the hour, the GM let us in and gave us the spiel. She was good at this to be fair. And then our experience ended *exactly* at 3pm, 50 minutes in, and we failed the game with a couple puzzles to go. Frustrated, we called them out on this. Upon realizing they may have messed up, they offered us free sodas. Sweet. I guess that's what tipping them on top of the booking price prior to the experience got us. Look, I don't want to fully bad mouth this room, because there are plenty of awesome qualities about it. But overall, as escape room enthusiasts who have done many, many rooms, this was one of the more disappointing rooms we've experience.

This room was pretty different than all the other rooms I’ve played. It had some very unique elements that I appreciated, but with that being said, things were not always very intuitive. The GM was super nice (one of the co-owners) so her enthusiasm really helped our experience.

Our GM Frank was a delight to have running our game. The game had very immersive set design and great puzzles that are integrated into the side. We loved those moments where we thought "they don't actually want us to ___ do they?" but the answer was yes and we were rewarded for it.
“Escobar is a really good escape room in Los Angeles.“
“Very well designed game, with the set design transporting you to the 90s. Multiple rooms to explore.“
