After years in the making, we are finally opening our biggest and most elaborate experience! We created Project Minotaur without any financial analysis and spared no expense to bring our greatest and most exhilarating creation to life. It was a long and tough process filled with blood, sweat, and tears that began in December of 2015. In the middle of this journey, many of the assets used in the creation process had become obsolete and outdated which would have left the room feeling lackluster and tired. Our desire has always been to present rooms that feel lively and fresh with immersive stories to be shared which led us to stripping down what was old so that we could provide our players with a state-of-the-art experience. Project Minotaur is not only our most epic thriller, but it is in fact our grandest design that measures over 1600 square feet, nearly three times the size of "normal" escape games. While the sheer size of the project added to an already difficult task, our drive to create saw us through. Now in our final stages of fine tuning and perfection, we are excited to share our creation with the world! We love what we do and we do it with pure, unconditional love. So many people have poured themselves into this project and contributed in different ways from start to finish which makes us happy to share it with you who appreciate what we do. This room is not an escape room. This is an EVENT. It is an immersive experience, a Thrill Theater with challenges that will push you to the limit - and it should be played as such.

This was an interesting experience! Everyone is correct that it's not really a true escape room; it is a thrill experience with puzzles and unlike anything I'd done before. If I'd done this room a few months ago, it would have been a for-sure heart for me, but I recently did a European-style chase/horror escape room that did this SO MUCH better (Cornstalkers), so it knocks Minotaur down a peg for me. We did this room with just the two of us, which I've been told is very unusual. It made things that much tenser because if one of us got "captured", the experience was over. That said, apparently I lock the &^*# in when my very expensive experience is on the line, and while I got adrenaline like no other room had ever given me, I found it actually LESS frightening than many horror rooms where you are meant to stand and experience the fright / jump scare. Here, you actually have to save yourself and by god I was going to do it (and did). The puzzles? WELL. Not great, to be frank. The first room has a mechanic which could literally stop you from completing it if something goes wrong (and it almost did, for us) and we were later told some groups spend 40+ minutes in there (!!) completing the single puzzle (!!!). There were a few others which were just plain done poorly. But you're not really here for the puzzles...you're here for the experience. Get a couple friends and experience it. If you're expecting a great escape room, you'll be disappointed. If you're just looking forward to the very unique experience that is hard to find elsewhere, you'll enjoy it.

I appreciate what they are trying to do with this room and for the most part it is a really exciting, unique escape experience. Very light on puzzles and the ones that do exist are not presented very well. One in particular was a cheap premade puzzle available on Amazon for $20 and could easily have been done a lot better than it was. The majority of the experience was about survival and this was where the game really took off. Lots of physical violence to avoid and a scary presence to stay away from while working through a twisting maze. One really nice story element as well that elevated the ending. Overall, I appreciated what was created here, though I didn’t enjoy it overall as much as I would have liked. The other three members of my group did seem to like it more than I did. It definitely is worth a go if you’re down for the brutal physicality of the experience.

Gameplay

This hardly qualifies as an escape room. The few puzzles that exist are pretty basic and awkwardly presented. However, the run-hide feature adds a lot of fun, even as I wished it wasn’t all about that. Definitely wise to wear padding underneath your clothes. This game can beat you up.

Atmosphere

It was an immersive experience from beginning to end and the creation of excitement/fear was mainly due to the expansive twisty set and one really convincing costume.

Customer service

Staff was great. So were the actors.

Do not underestimate how physical this game is. Wear knee and elbow pads. I’m serious. We were scraped up at the end and I got hit in the head pretty hard by part of a wall flying at me.

Safety

No

I mean, a lot of this is in a good way in the sense that you feared for your life and were being chased. There were some things though that seemed more dangerous than they should be and could have been caused by over-zealous actors. I was hit in the head by a piece of crumbling wall that probably was hit a little too hard considering how close our group was on the other side.

Had such a fun game experience. Thank you Chris and Dan for being phenomenal game masters and actors. Did the room with 7 people, and we all had fun! “Swiper no swiping!” Escaped the minotaur with sweat, crawls, screams, some pushing, and brisk walks. Highly recommend!

Gameplay

Definitely more of an experience than an escape room, but the puzzles in the room were alil complicated without our game master.

Atmosphere

Alot of strobe lights, loud music, and roars

Customer service

All rules were addressed. Game masters were all welcoming

This is definitely not for the faint of heart. What a fun, scary and immersive escape room. There weren't a whole lot of actual puzzles to solve however with the added element of being potentially caught by the Minotaur, it made each puzzle seem hard to do though they weren't really super difficult. Definitely a lot of crawling and running. I don't want to spoil anything but if you're on the fence about doing this, DO IT. It's so much fun and such an adrenaline rush. Yes the price point is high, however for the fully immersive experience it's worth it.

I truly loved Project Minotaur because it’s very unique compared to other escape rooms. This escape room focuses heavily on survival and thrills, making it feel like you’re inside a horror movie. It’s highly immersive and interactive, so I’d recommend wearing comfortable clothes since you’ll definitely be active and break a sweat! We did the room with just two people and managed to escape. We found that having more than four people would make it feel cramped, so I’d recommend keeping to a maximum of four. A huge shout-out to Gabriel and Lo, our amazing game masters, for making the experience unforgettable! Overall, it’s an amazing and rare experience, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone seeking a genuinely thrilling adventure!

This one was not for me. Far too physical which got me injured. Of course that was the risk, but its a bummer that its kind of the expectation. Was not a fan of the finale either, as I wasnt quite sure what happened since it was hard to see with our group size. I think this is going to be a lot of people's favorite experience, and I don't blame them at all for that take! Just not for me

The experience was awesome! I wouldn't recommend the experience for those who don't want to get grabbed or get physically active. You'll have to crawl through smallish spaces (not enough to make me claustrophobic). For someone who WANTS to be terrified this is definitely it, although this is my first contact escape room. 10/10 experience!

The rooms flowed well! The gameplay felt like it was in an outlast game. Having to run away and hide was awesome!

This experience was more than I bargained for. The best fully immersive experience. If you are looking for something to do for Spooky season, add this to your list.

This was probably our favorite escape room to date. Super immersive, great production quality, and the staff/GMs made the whole experience come alive. We had just 3 people, but it still felt doable. This game will put your group’s bravery to the test, but that only makes it more memorable.
