HellsGate - CLOSEDHellsGate Haunted HouseHauntHaunted houseI have had the pleasure of visiting Hellsgate at least 5 times and it gets better every single year. The interior is beautifully done from hardwood floors to crown molding. It is everything a haunted house should be. The actors are just amazing, its not a bunch of "Get out!"s or random snarls, there is thought behind the action and dialogue. The queue line actors are always the fun to interact with and will keep you entertained until you enter the mansion. It is a challenge to not just marvel at the beauty of this evil old mansion as you meander the various rooms but the entities within will keep you on your toes.
Statesville Haunted Prison - CLOSEDStatesville Haunted PrisonHauntHaunted houseStatesville Prison was the Rock-N-Roll of Haunted attractions. It was intense, terrifying, and a real trip. The actors were simultaneously scary, funny and quick witted. The queue line actors really helped to pass the time and there were staples like Fluffy you could see every year that just really added to the "muchness" that was Statesville. If you didn't get to visit before the Prison closed, the inmates escaped and moved into Hellsgate so you can find them there. As a postscript, I had the awesome opportunity to visit one October and act for a weekend at Statesville and City of the Dead and not only was the attraction amazing because of its set design and costuming but the people that made the magic possible were just the most welcoming and amazing people you can ever meet. It was such a collaborative environment where actors were sharing tips to elicit better scares and emotions from the guests. They really care about their craft and safety and making sure everyone has a great time.
Bates Motel - CLOSEDThe Bates Motel & AttractionsHauntHaunted houseThe trip from Philadelphia to the Bates Motel was worthwhile! The amount of attractions and things to do will fill up the evening. Plenty of actors to make you jump and really good sets. There is a good reason why the Bates Motel is considered one of the best haunts in the country, the attention to detail and the atmosphere is very well done. Be prepared to be scared.
Delirium - CLOSEDHalloween Nights at Eastern State PenitentiaryHauntHaunted houseThe haunted attraction at Eastern State Penitentiary is located inside of the very real, first prison built in the United States. This was the first spoke and wheel designed prison in the world and is the model for all modern prisons. Like everything in colonial Philadelphia, Ben Franklin had a hand in the design. When you go Eastern State, you are going to a real piece of history and the owners of the attraction have done a lot to keep this historical place in good shape. The haunted attraction is designed to easily take you from themed "house" to the next to allow you to see every attraction. The first time I went was Halloween night 2007, we were studying for our final exams for our 1L year at Drexel and realized it was Halloween so we took a break to visit Eastern State. It was a blast and a very good memory.
Glutton's Diner and Slaughter House - CLOSEDHeadless HorsemanHauntHaunted houseThe Headless Horseman haunted attraction in upstate New York is EPIC. I had wanted to go for years so I flew to NYC, took the train to Tarrytown, rented a car in Sleepy Hollow (fitting), and then drove the 70 miles to Ulster Park to experience these attractions. It was well worth the trip. On arrival you will find a veritable Halloween village where you can buy snacks and fall themed beverages. There is also shops selling all sorts of cool Halloween knick-knackery. It was awesome. Candy apples, cider and Frito chili pie? Sign me up. Once you make it through the gauntlet of amazing merch and swag you will find the attractions. Start with the Hayride which is a lot of fun. They have hosts on each ride that narrate the action and ours was hilarious. After they hayride just keep knocking out the attractions while taking bathroom and snack breaks as needed.

Atrox FactoryAtrox FactoryHauntHaunted houseWe visited during the 2019 Legendary Haunts Tour. The location had a pretty cool queue area and concessions. The attraction itself had a pretty good set design and was well done. It was a "touch" haunted house and this was heavily advertised so customers were forewarned and not surprised but this was pre-pandemic so that might have changed? Staff was very friendly
Cryptid Chaos - CLOSEDNetherworld Haunted HouseHauntHaunted houseI love cryptids and I was very excited to get out to see Netherworld's cryptid themed attraction. The monsters are just huge and amazing and everything you could want in a huge hairy critter. Don't skip this attraction if you are in the Atlanta area in the fall!
Primordial - CLOSEDNetherworld Haunted HouseHauntHaunted houseNetherworld Haunted Attraction is just an epic and amazing experience. Put it on your bucket list. Edge of Hell - CLOSEDEdge of HellHauntHaunted houseI have visited the Edge of Hell seven different years and the attraction never gets old. There is a mix of old sets and new that keep it entertaining and some portions of the attraction are just amazing. Some of my favorites views are the bridge, the snake lair, and the escape from Heaven near the end of the attraction
Haunted House - CLOSEDHundred Acres ManorHauntHaunted houseHundred Acres Manor did not disappoint, really great attraction with a lot of cool scenes. It will take you a while to wind through this massive haunted attraction and have a great time! Really great job by all of the actors!
Chambers of Edgar Allen Poe - CLOSEDFull Moon ProductionsHauntHaunted houseI really miss this attraction. It wasn't as "scary" as the other attractions but the theming was amazing. In the first area you would encounter Edgar Allen Poe himself and what an entrance he would make. I continued on only to find my buddy was still listening to Poe recite the Raven lol. The finale of the attraction was to ride a zipline from an upper floor down to the street and that was exhilarating.
