Opening September 20 - Haunted House. Step out of the center ring and head backstage through the carnival grounds where menacing performers will do anything it takes to carve out their moment in the spotlight. You’d better hope fortune is on your side tonight… What to Expect: Walk a winding, one-way path through the indoor and outdoor backstage areas of a twisted carnival. Get ready for show-stopping imagery, jump scares, and special effects like fog machines, strobe lights, and loud noises.

CLOWNS!!!! The haunted attraction at Eastern State Penitentiary is located inside of the very real, first prison built in the United States. This was the first spoke and wheel designed prison in the world and is the model for all modern prisons. Like everything in colonial Philadelphia, Ben Franklin had a hand in the design. When you go Eastern State, you are going to a real piece of history and the owners of the attraction have done a lot to keep this historical place in good shape. The haunted attraction is designed to easily take you from themed "house" to the next to allow you to see every attraction. The first time I went was Halloween night 2007, we were studying for our final exams for our 1L year at Drexel and realized it was Halloween so we took a break to visit Eastern State. It was a blast and a very good memory.

A great haunted house just like all the others at Halloween Nights, not one of my favourites but definitely lots of fun with ample scares included.
