Alice In Wonderland
60Out - Melrose
Escape room
IRL
Very on brand and a good balance of challenge and story. I think embracing the concept of the room really helped make the room better
Alice's Dream
Mind Twist Escape Experience
Escape room
IRL
Fun room and very atmospheric. Some very intriguing puzzles with entertaining mechanics. A couple of the puzzles were a little worn with use, and one puzzle was not fully reset, although the associated puzzle was easy to solve so it didn’t detract much. Overall a strong and entertaining room.

Amnesia
Quest Room - Culver City
Escape room

GM was excellent. This room is very likeable for the story and atmosphere. You can really tell they put a lot of thought into the storyline and immersion. Puzzles are a little on the sedate side, and it trends a little easy, but you should do this room for the experience, not the puzzles. A lot of fun for sure.
Area 51
Maze Rooms - Robertson Blvd
Escape room
IRL
This could have been a love; all the ingredients are there. The set design is excellent. Our game master was wonderful. The puzzles were largely intuitive enough and interesting (though there were a few that required brute force). There’s spectacle, theme, and engagement. However, when we played a few of the puzzles did not work properly, causing significant confusion and frustration. It got bad enough at one point near the mid game that I half @ssed it because the particular puzzle was so aggravating I just didn’t care anymore, which takes a huge amount of frustration for me to reach that point. Still an enjoyable room, even with malfunctions, just a shame the experience was so heavily waylaid by mechanical issues.
Atlantis
Escape Room LA
Escape room

Very solid room and very good atmosphere. Enjoyable puzzles. Escape room LA typically makes good rooms that benefit from a medium-large group with good communication.
Atlantis: The Forgotten City
Hypnotic Escape Rooms
Escape room
IRL
Wonderfully atmospheric room that has very devoted set design. Strong puzzles as well, although some were a little easier than others. Above all, this is a fun room. Highly recommend.
Avalanche
Maze Rooms - Robertson Blvd
Escape room
IRL
The room is excellently built with a great degree of polish and tech. Our game master was wonderful, helpful, energetic, interested in the story, and friendly. The theme and story of the room was also interesting and engaging. That being said, the puzzles let this room down a little. Several things were unintuitive, or did not flow or connect well. There was a slight randomness to it that was a little jarring at times. But the room remained enjoyable and I would still recommend it. Huge improvement over the old Robertson location.
Casino Heist
60Out - West LA
Escape room
IRL
First escape room I did as a pair with my boyfriend. Puzzles were pretty good, but there’s some signs of age on the props.
Casino Heist II
60Out - HHLA
Escape room
IRL
Lots of similarities to the original, but with just enough new things and a fresh coat of paint to be enjoyable.
Cyberpunk Samurai
Maze Rooms - LAX
Escape room
IRL
Rooms were varying in quality. Interesting premise, and the game masters were great, but some puzzles are not that intuitive.
