This is an enjoyable room. Fun theming and story. In the first room some ok puzzles and one very obtuse one (which is the same puzzle as in the other review, they really need to signpost this very early puzzle). Great GM, good with hints and helping when she saw we were stuck. The room has a great Indiana Jones feeling to it. The third room relied too much on a certain type of basic puzzle. Nice physical props and set pieces, as always at Escape Hunt. Overall an average Escape Hunt room with solid theming and okay puzzles.

Ok theming, better than the Hunter’s Lodge or Chocolate Factory. 2.5 sub-rooms which is better than the other rooms at Maximum. One nice set piece and a mechanical puzzle in the wall was quite cool. Some seriously incomprehensible puzzle leaps here, and the awful clue system and lack of game master interest makes for some incredibly frustrating puzzles. At the end we just escaped and they didn’t even come to talk to us, at the beginning they didn’t bother to tell us the story and during they didn’t respond to many, many requests for help. It feels like a very unprofessional set up. The lack of escape rooms in Jutland mean this is worth doing though.

It’s fun, but I’m surprised about the accolades for the other locations. The screens weren’t switched on β€˜yet’ although the room had been there over a year. Some fun puzzles. An odd clue system where the GM comes in and tells you things, which really breaks the immersion. Nice set design with a tilted area to make the room look like it was sinking. A lot of puzzles that relied on GM noticing what you were doing: flawed as it took a good long while for GM to notice. 2 steps in the room.

So this isn’t really an escape β€˜room’. The GM calls it an escape game. You go in and there’s a table and chairs and two big screens. On the table is a briefcase. The briefcase is a bomb and it has all the puzzles in, like buttons/switches puzzles and you put codes into the big screen. Lights go green when you complete each puzzle. It was fun enough, but overpriced for what it was. Alright puzzles, pretty bog standard. Accessible but be careful booking a room that finishes after 5pm because the centre turns the lift off, which is crazy.

An unfinished game with a rude GM. I cut my hand on one of the unsanded props. Extraordinarily dusty and beaten up, even more than the theme required. Puzzles were broken and just dull, apart from one really fun one. Never been told off in an escape room quite as much, for riding on a saddle that didn’t have a β€˜do not touch’ sign and for supposedly forcing something that I just lightly pulled. (On that subject, the room had around 20 do not touch signs. Very immersion breaking. The whole room showcased shoddy workmanship and largely awful puzzles. Would have been an alright one around 10 years ago: nowadays, bad.
