Escape room

This was definitely fun & unique experience from the moment you arrive. The theming was fantastic & the world in which we played the game was awesome. It's almost what you would expect when it comes to a criminal world & it got everyone involved & moving. This is definitely a must do if you're in the area.
Lab Rat

This room was hilarious & fun! A great take on the lab experiments except this time, we're the rats! There was so much to explore in this room and the music, lighting, and the special effects really put this all together. The story was funny and even when I thought I knew where this game was headed, I was proved wrong. This is a fun room to do for all ages.

#1 - This is not per-say, an escape room, but more of an immersive experience that has escape elements. #2 - This is the first time that I have ever teared up in an experience. I had an employee that always raved about The Nest & when he heard that I was heading to LA he said I HAD to do this. So, after some thinking I booked my ticket and headed on my way. I didn't know what to expect and I didn't want to have any expectations because I wanted to have a clear mind going into this. Even if I did, I still don't think I would have conjured up what I had experienced. From beginning to end this was an immersive MASTERPIECE. As someone that loves to play video games, they captured this concept of exploration & searching down to such a creative science that there were so many cleaver ways to find the exact items we needed to progress the story. A story which had so many layers & was beautifully told that, I didn't want it to end. How they were able to create so many intimate spaces that told an incredible story baffles my mind. The lighting, the music, the special effects, were nothing short of amazing. I could write for hours about this unique, one-of-a-kind experience, but there's only one thing I'll say. Go experience this for yourself. Don't go expecting to be an escape room, because it's not. It's a story that you get to discover piece by piece and the more you find, the more you get to explore. At the end I almost died when I heard that there was still two parts that we didn't discover and I almost wanted to go back and play again just to experience it all over. My only regret is that we didn't take our time to just explore and be in the moment rather than move once we've finished a segment. Lastly, it was the finale that put me to tears. Such a beautiful, touching, & interactive way to end such an experience that it almost heals you. I'll say this, if I'm ever back in the LA area again, I. WILL. BE. DOING. THIS. AGAIN!
The Ladder

I wanted to like this. I REALLY wanted to like this, but after numerous mechanical breakdowns (including an entire room that did not work) our experience was quite the let down. Granted this is a fun concept and it is not a traditional escape room, I just felt that there was way too much involved, a-lot of repetitive tasks, and for the price point it's kinda hard to see this as a room that I would like to come back and play just to see the other options.

I've read about this escape room a couple times but finally had the chance to play it. This was a fun room especially at the start and our game master Helena made the whole experience a great time. The puzzles definitely made you think and there were some that made me look back at the camera and talk with Helena for comedic purposes but all in all it was fun breaking out of prison again!

Great theming & set up for making us feel we were back in 1776! Only thing I wish is that the ending had a bit more "grandiose" to it but the gameplay was fun overall.

Do you want a game that you will talk about & quote for months after you've played and want to go back and play again? THIS IS IT? I did not think that this would be one of my top games but this game was hilariously fun & created so well! There were so many twists and turns and surprises and quotable moments and moments that had me cracking up in the parking lot. If you're looking for a fun game to play that will have you laughing and begging for more? Go experience Crazy Train!

The Bureau Adventure Games

This was my second time heading to The Bureau after a fun experience with The Puppet Heist. As much as I love The Bureau, this time I was a little heartbroken. The opening experience wasn't there which really sets the mood for the company, but they managed to make it work with what they had in place while they are revamping it. The game itself was a unique story that I haven't come across yet and the scenery was impressive as always. The gameplay flowed alright, there was maybe only 1 puzzle that we questioned but unfortunately towards the later part of the game, we had a technical malfunction which set us back a few good minutes and really affected our flow of the game. The ending was cool but I wish it was a little bit more visible. All in all, I enjoyed the game but so far Puppet Heist is still at the top of my list.
Deep Space

I've always been a fan of the "5 Wits" Franchise from when I first discovered them in Plymouth Meeting. I was excited to know that the Deep Space adventure would be on our way back from Boston so we made a quick side trip. The beginning.... YES.. YES... YES...... I love the amazing way 5 wits can start an adventure with some magic and this one was awesome! As for the rest of the adventure, it was a slight bit of a roller coaster for me. The middle portion of our adventure was little rough but the ending was an amazing display of technology. I enjoyed being able to cross this off my list but Tomb is still reining supreme for me in the 5 wits universe.
Storyteller's Secret
Boxaroo
Escape room
IRL
I could write a review.... but I can't.... I don't know how.... I was absolutely and genuinely speechless after playing this room. I was told so much how I had to play this room and everybody was right, I'm so glad I did! From the story, to the reveals, to the gameplay. It's been so long since I DIDNT want a game to end... I wish it would have kept going. Boxaroo has set the bar high and I've been ruined in my escape journey that I want to play it again even though I just did. IT WAS JUST THAT GOOD! And what I loved about it is that it can be adaptable for all stages of escape players. There's only thing left to say: Go discover the Storyteller's secret!
