Escape room

Great concept and fun theme. As is indicated by the business name, it's not focused on being an escape room as much as a romantic experience. There's less puzzle solving than an escape room -- more finding of clues to open the door to the next experience. These experiential elements last up to 5-30 minutes (an optional one even longer) and, while romantic and relaxing, break the pace and excitement that builds during a traditional escape room. Several physical components did not function properly, and we had to use the clue function to proceed, which we found disappointing and frustrating considering the cost of the stay (nearly $500). Room transitions are the most physically demanding I've experienced (steep ladders/slides) and may be impossible for people who are tall, overweight, or who have any kind of physical impediment. This room has a strong sexual aspect that bumped us right out of the "Indiana Jones" adventure and into a "we don't want to touch that" vibe that we found jarring. As a side note, as far as an overnight accommodation in an old house, there are a lot of dodgy elements of the room as far as safety is concerned (such as an electrical outlet directly over the faucet and numerous trip/slip hazards). I'm certain the place is perfect for the right people, and we are glad we tried it, but we would not book another room.

The final puzzle was just physical manipulation and far too difficult to execute, without adding value.
