Don’t recommend. Things in the room didn’t work. There was no flow to the room. Some cool surprises but overall didn’t enjoy.

Slip on your spandex and strap on your utility belt! The super villains have escaped the comics! Using your wit and wiles, you must break into the very heart of darkness; transport yourself into the comic lairs of four of the city's most notorious super villains, discover the clues they've left behind and save the city... if it's not too late.

A couple of the puzzles were good, but the experience was a bit disappointing overall. Similar thoughts to other reviewers. The room was pretty average, so we were just expecting a little more given some of the other great ones we have locally. Specifically, some of the reveals were very loud and startling (please do be warned if loud noises aren't ok for you), and the links between actions and reveals was really unclear. Some of the connections were pretty unclear though. This was made worse by the fact that some props which were present before are no longer here apparently. Those sound like they would have fixed some of the issues making connections. Theming was also just decent. Overall, we had fun, just don't get your hopes up too much.
Not the most intuitive room, some things are not fully functional anymore, which makes it less clear
Nothing to write home about, but fine enough
We received pretty good attention

We had originally booked to do Poe's Chamber, but there is an issue with that room so they offered us Supervillains instead. I think we've just been really spoiled with some top tiered rooms, so this room was average at best. Okay puzzles, but nothing was linear and it was hard to tell when you even solved a puzzle. Would recommend the room for beginners, but seasoned escape room players might be a bit bored.

I appreciated that there were multiple rooms, and each room featured puzzles that were mostly independent from each other, with a few instances of overlap/interactivity. Felt that the mechanics were pretty good!

Supervillains was my first room here back in early 2023. It is still one of my favorite rooms. I've played this room twice to bring some of my friends along the second time.

I had been excited to play this room but ended up being a little disappointed. Average room at best.

A very nonlinear line of puzzles which could be great for a large group, but a bit difficult for a small party. The story was split into disparate sections so not as cohesive.

This is my favorite room in one of my favorite venues. The way it’s laid out is just very cool. It’s almost minimalist but there are a lot of clues to solve and they all relate to supervillains. If you were into comics as a kid you will enjoy this game

TLDR: a good room with fun puzzles, but disappointing in atmosphere. Raven Chase has proven themselves to be a giant in the industry here in the local scene for escape rooms. All of their rooms are incredible, and this one, for the most part, lives up to that. Gameplay: the gameplay was great as always. There were some really clever clues I’ve never seen before, and a good mix between cool technology, and some classic lock combination puzzles. It was a bit easy, as we completed most the clues within 30 minutes, which, with the same group, is faster than normal. Atmosphere: this was the part I was a little let down on. Raven Chase is known for their really immersive experiences, whether you really feel like you’re in a classic arcade, a pirate ship, or a killers house. This one, however, fell flat compared to their other rooms. It just felt a bit dull and empty. While this may be my least favorite of all ravenchase rooms (Arlington and Herndon) it’s still a very strong room compared to most you will find in the area.

Pretty fun but definitely made for a bigger group as quite a lot can, and maybe should, be done at once.
