New Haven Orphanage

👻🙏 A pretty standard escape room with spooooky religious and occult themes. There are live actors (who don’t touch you) and let me say that first appearance FREAKED me out 😂 however, the appearances do become less scary as you move along which suited me just fine, lol! Confundrum is great at setting a vibe, and you’ll have a lot of fun if you like scary (but not too scary) ERs- although I would rank their other scary room Twisted Woods ahead of this one. Our group of 4 finished with 5 minutes to spare.

It’s just locks locks locks. In fact they start the game by telling you how to use all the different types of padlocks they have.

Amazing spooky room! Fantastic immersion.

At the time we did this room it was a 70 minute game. There were 4 of us. Although we escaped, 2 of us in the group were offended by the occultish subject matter in the game. Just be careful if you are a person who finds tgis type of symbolism disturbing. There wasnt much of a warning to this when we did this game. There was a live actor in this game, so beware.

This room was insane! We did the room with live actors and it was the scariest room by far that we have ever done. It added a whole extra level of complexity being frightened all the time!

Scary at times but great fun

Atmosphere was good. Heavily relies on darkness and loud sounds for scares, which is a bit annoying if you really enjoy puzzles. The puzzles were simple enough, but the splitting of clues into 2 streamlines seemed unnecessary and a little extra confusing. The only reason I would not come back was due to how loud the room was. We could hear other groups from a different escape room right beside us who would not stop screaming at us and trying to engage our group. There was rarely a point in the game where you could not hear other groups talking and screaming from other rooms which got pretty frustrating! If you are looking to actually escape a room, do not do rooms at this location. You do not escape, you just win and go back out through the door you came in. Mediocre experience.

Simply amazing and fun! I enjoyed the flow and the attention to detail with their set design. All around great time!

This is a fantastic escape room that provides an environment that really feels as though you are in an abandoned orphanage. The puzzles fit the theme seamlessly and there are many unique elements to this game that leave you feeling fully immersed into the story. I thoroughly enjoyed this room and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys horror themed escape rooms.
