You and your friends attend a small Minnesota college in a town where there is nothing to do on a Friday night. You decide to go out to a bar to kill time. Here, you meet a tall, grisly, one-handed man who begins telling you stories about a cabin in the woods not far away. Intriguing and vivid stories about a magical book called the Necronomicon cloud your judgment, and before you realize it, you are on your way to the cabin to retrieve both the ancient relic and the gentleman’s missing hand. He’s leaving town in an hour and if you can retrieve his hand and the Necronomicon, he will reward you handsomely.

Game play overall was fine some of the tech in the room was a little finicky. There is quite a bit of ground to cover. Room does require at least one able body person. We did have a couple reset errors in the game but didn’t affect our game all that much. Keep an eye out for tiny things

Our favorite game at Ultimate so far! There was enough to do at one time that all 6 people were very involved. The build out was nice and the puzzles were unique. Can’t wait to be back for the rooms we have left!

Not scary
There’s a demonic sort of vibe in the last room, so if that scares you, it might be spooky, but my group of usual scaredy cats were completely fine

A lock was either not set properly or broken, gm came in and replaced the lock for us. We worked on other things while the time was paused, so it didn’t bother us

I'm not even mad that we didn't escape. There were so many very cool and interesting puzzles in this room. The set was fantastic. There was one particular puzzle that tripped my group up for an extended amount of time. But it was still blast!
One puzzle is difficult and time consuming, even if you get everything lined up perfectly.
Some of my favorite escape room GMs work here. They're always fun, funny, and immensely helpful.

This might be a good game, but the group before us apparently destroyed half the props, as we had to start nearly an hour late while they tried to repair enough of the room to make it playable (which it was not).

Probably my new favorite room I’ve done… the 2nd one I’ve ever done being my favorite for a long time. The story, the puzzles, the clues… the set. Man, it was cool. Loved the immersion and the twists! A few things you don’t see coming and loved the ending! Wish I could do another one like this!
Really immersive room with loads of puzzles I’ve never done or seen before. Some clues were given before ever needing them, but once you get through a few, you catch on.
Very immersive!
We had a great game master, however, it was obvious he was the only one working tonight. We waited a bit for clues and he couldn’t keep track of some things we had already done. I give grace due to the ‘climate’ we are in and lack of help companies are experiencing, so it didn’t ruin it for us. He gave us a few minutes of extra time to complete because we were SO CLOSE!

Really cool twists and turns. Loved the theme!
The story was creepy and eerie… just what my two 12 year old companions were looking for! ;)

One of the hardest rooms I had done, but not because the room was particularly difficult to figure out, but more because there was a lot to get through with only 3 people. We didn’t get ‘stuck’ often and used our three clues… once we got those clues, it was a ‘duh’ moment!
High tech
I only say high tech because I had to choose one, but there were a lot of mechanical parts to the game as well! Really great balance of both!

Spooky
Lots of spooky and scary elements… I had 12 year old girls with me and they were thrilled just enough!

There were a couple parts that didn’t really work great, so it slowed us down a bit… some parts that you had to ‘play’ with to get them to work. Took quite a few minutes from us.

Not really accessible. Small spaces and a bit of ‘crawling’ through.

Solid, immersive room with a fun theme and story. Good mix of tech but mostly classic combo locks. A couple questionable leaps of logic. Lots of puzzles—not the best room for smaller groups.
Often non-linear, receiving clues well before they can be used at times. A coyote leaps of logic in some puzzles.
Good set design. Immersive with a good mix of tech + classic locks.

Honestly very good room! I would recommend more than 2 players like we did but the theme was awesome! Maybe a couple places we were totally clueless on because of a lack of direction, but overall it was a great experience!

One of the best rooms I have ever done. I got to beta test it and I loved it. Very new and creative puzzles. Very well built and designed.
