You and your team were hired to rob one of the busiest restaurants in town: Bandito’s Italian Bistro. You were able to successfully get in, hold the employees at gunpoint, and clean them out. In your rush to escape with the cash, you dropped your weapon and were forced to leave it behind. You now have one hour to break back into the restaurant, find your gun, and escape before the cops arrive to collect the evidence and arrest you!

Excellent room with a couple of surprises. Great puzzles with a mostly linear flow. Our first at this location but hopefully we'll be back in the area to play another. The owner was our GM and his passion for the room and the industry made the experience even better.

Gameplay

We've played similar games so it wasn't novel, but the puzzles were fun and innovative, and it definitely flowed well. We were smiling throughout the entire experience.

Atmosphere

There were some fun puzzles integrated into the unique and immersive set design. Very well laid out.

Customer service

Our GM was excellent. He gave us a run-down of some other locations in the Maine/NH area to visit before we started. He was passionate about the industry which makes playing even more fun. He gave us a couple of room "gotchas" at the beginning, which were helpful, and only intervened when asked.

Particularly interesting or different

No

Somewhat standard with this type of theme, with a couple of unique surprises. But it was fun nonetheless.

Story

Everything was perfectly integrated into the story. No significant red herrings. Every puzzle played into the experience.

Mechanical

Mostly mechanical with some interesting tech.

Ideal number of players

2

We played with two experienced players and were engaged the whole time. This would be a good room for a mix of experienced/newer players because of the variety of puzzles. Many more than two experienced players might leave someone out since it is linear.

Nothing scary or offensive. Puzzles were mostly straightforward for an 8-year-old (my standard minimum age).

We were vacationing in Bangor and decided to take in a room to pass a rainy morning. We are very glad that the weather turned on us so that we could play this great room. Now when you first enter the room you may find yourself a little disappointed in the decor. It does appear very plain. Trust me, give it time and you will see all the secret little surprises waiting for you as the story unfolds. The other sections of the game are very eye catching and give you some nice moments. The puzzles vary but I think you will find something for everyone in your group. The staff was super friendly and even recommended another room for us. I give the room two thumbs up and we will be back.
