Chapter 2 continues where Chapter 1 ended, you surviving the vandal attack on The Bunker. Now that you have escaped, you must make your way to the UHC (United Human Compound). Your journey continues crossing dangerous Vandal Territory. You and your group come across a Vandal outpost "The Hive". You must search The Hive and find a list of materials that you will need in order to survive the conditions topside. Complete your mission and escape before Lightcrawler discovers you.

We did all three rooms back to back as per their suggestion but I have mixed feelings overall and probably wouldn't have paid the amount we did for the full run through. Chapter 2 was the worst of the bunch. You're there to save a captive prisoner, but as a live actor, all they really did was hinder us or not be all that helpful. When we did get hints I could tell they were trying to be in character but they felt repetitive and even when we got it, the room did not feel great to solve. Lots of work in the dark with several unintuitive puzzles. We felt like we were scrambling with all the dead time we had. Like the first chapter, everything was themed correctly, but unsatisfactory overall. I just had to hope the next chapter would redeem this one.

If you're in search of an escape room that provides a well-crafted post-apocalyptic adventure, "The Bunker Experience" may fall short of your expectations. My group of 8 did all three rooms back to back and so this review is for the second chapter, Chapter 2: The Hive. 1. This is probably my least favorite chapter of all three. The puzzles did not flow well and it felt like we just needed more light, rather than actually thinking outside the box, to get through this chapter. It was unintuitive. 2. The actor here was more distracting than helpful. When we asked for clues, he would be redundant with his responses. His acting seemed like a second thought the longer we were with him too, because he would just watch us. Sometimes, he would block the view of what we need to complete a puzzle. 3. There should be more space. For a group of 8, this hallway that they made felt cramped. I feel like they could have made more space and it would not take away from the storyline at all. 3.

This room started my obsession in January 27, 2018. Starting with the non-room portion: booking and waivers were easy and thereβs a parking garage basically next to this room. The GM was amazingly nice and super attentive! The game itself made me fall in love with escape rooms. It was here where I unlocked my first lock and knew I wanted to do it for the rest of my life. The story is great and thereβs a fun live actor in the room. The puzzles flowed and the props were not broken. There is some suspense but nothing over the top to where you want to soil yourself. I highly recommend this room.
